Dissappointed

WORTH IT
I expected all things to come into place after the healing- told one year…My original post was positive as I had hopes, it seemed to be coming along but the left side of my neck/chin never took and I look hideous, in my opinion.my follow ups with the doctor left me uncomfortable … my concerns where met with him blaming me and he rolled his eyes and I got some “pfffts” from him .. disappointing … I am so upset still. He offered to redo but I would have to pay the room cost and anesthesia myself- why would I EVER LET HIM TOUCH MY FACE AGAIN! Let alone pay it again… I am embarrassed and self conscious of the left side of my face- the eyes look fine, I am mostly happy about that part- and that is all I have to say about this bad experience

I’m sorry you had a bad experience. Do you have any current pictures?
So sorry to hear your bad experience. Can you share any recent photos pleasez? It would mean the world for me?
Awful to hear that you were treated so derisively by this surgeon.
I feel your disappointment. In October of 2022 I had a revision on my neck and lower face because my original surgeries back in October 2021 were pretty much unsuccessful. I never needed that much removed, hence the reason I didn't wait until it went as a noticeable change. I didn't want anyone to know about my surgeries because they would say I didn't need them. My neck bothered me due to excess scar tissue from a huge cyst I had removed under my chin. I ended up with (unattractive) "dimples" in the balls of my cheeks that give me a pulled look. The right side of my neck still has excess skin. I do not have a tight under chin area. I didn't pay for the revision, and was awake during the surgery. The healing process was so painful. I felt like someone cut my ears off and hit me in the head with a club. I was so disappointed with my doctor. He doesn't want to revise my neck and says he can't pull the excess up. I can assure you he could if he wanted too. My surgeries were expensive about $16K. Wish I had gone to another doctor. I am seeing another doctor on May 1 to see if he can use filler on my ugly dimples. My surgeon didn't want to try it. Told me there is nothing that can be done and I will need to live with it. I hate the way I look when I smile. I used to love laughing, and now I try not too. I really understand how you feel. I was hoping to look and feel beautiful, but that did not happen.
I’m confused. Is the pic you posted recent ? When did you notice things went downhill ?
ORIGINAL POST

Top Notch!

I am at three weeks post surgery, eyelids and mini lift (includes neck).
My experience with Dr. Lipshitz was nothing short of amazing -- stellar is a better word to describe this surgeon. Even at just three weeks I look great, fresh. From the initial consultation to the day of surgery Dr. Lipshitz's level of professionalism coupled with his kind and patient personality made this experience a joy(sure there is stress in preparing ..take the time to prepare). His concern for his patient(me) was evident throughout 100% of this process and he went out of his way. He takes the time during follow-up to address questions or concerns. The staff..goodness they are so great..top notch professionals that truly care, highest level of efficiency I have ever seen in a doctors office.
The procedures I had are extremely detailed and delicate. His experience and skill level shined as he did this "magic". Pain was not bad, I took a narcotic for 3 days only, then Tylenol. Healing was completely tolerable, I am healing quickly. I followed the post surgery instructions which are easy-its really about rest. I look how I FEEL ! My friends are complimenting me already. I am not caring if someone wants to take my picture. Can I say, at 54 years old, I'm giddy and thrilled.. I feel pretty again.
I highly recommend Dr. Lipshitz, and the phenomenal staff at Athena Plastic Surgery, it is the only place I will go.

Pics????
Hi there what anaesthetic did u have? I've had a consultation for the same op and have been offered the "twilight" I'm a bit worried tho x
She didn’t answer you but I will. I’ve had both and twilights fine. You won’t remember anything and not everyone is ok with a general. I get really bad depression after a general anaesthetic and cannot remember word for a couple of months. Twilight is cheaper also.
Photos would help xx
I would love to see pictures. If you need anonymity, you can always blacken out the eyes and background etc.
