My Dream Lift of a Lifetime
WORTH IT
It has been my dream for the last 10 years to have a lower face and neck lift and anyone that knows me knows it was only a matter of time before it was going to be my reality! Back in 2011, I began feeling the effects of gravity catching up with me in my jowls and my neck and that was when I first met with Dr. Huq to inquire. At that time, he explained the optimum lift procedure that he created and had been doing for some time and I was very impressed with what he described. However, I wasn’t quite ready to make the big decision and I put it off for almost 10 years. Prior to leading up to this day, I had done the fillers hoping to delay the inevitable a little longer. Fast forward now to 2021, I felt I was finally ready to take the procedure more serious and do some further research into this.Everyone kept saying you should go check out the big city doctors they are the big social media guru”s the experts in plastic surgery well let me tell you save yourself the time energy and dollars because Niagara has the best plastic surgeon in Canada! I am thrilled with my results from start to finish and so is my pocket book.Coming to Niagara you are not paying for the fancy glamorous surgical suites and high end facilities with big ticket property taxes what you get in Niagara is a professional medical doctor who is skilled in plastic surgery he loves to do faces and specializes in them! Dr. Huq is meticulous and extremely detail oriented and when I met him I felt instant confidence to put my face in his hands. Here I am barely 3 days out of surgery and I am so excited about my new look. Just wish he could lift the covid restrictions restrictions and I would be all set! Dr Huq may not have all the fancy social media pictures of his recent work posted but don’t let that worry you he has done hundreds of faces every year trust me I researched everything!Tips: staying awake for the procedure is a faster recovery it’s like being at the dentist - the morning of you take a lorazepam and when you arrive you get settled in and you are injected with lidocaine in your face you feel absolutely nothing - if you feel a little pull you instantly get more freezing like you would being at the dentist. I know it seems freaky being awake but it was a breeze we actually chatted through the procedure it was pleasant and sure I was a bit anxious but that anxiety quickly turned to excitement when I realized I GOT THIS under control.Sure you can go under a general but you are gonna pay a lot more for that too and the risks are way higher. That alone was my determining factor. I didn’t want to be put asleep. Dr. Huq does the procedure all in his office. It’s clean and private and you won’t regret your decision. I do suggest you watch some YouTube videos to prepare yourself so you are sure you are mentally ready for this.If you do meet with Dr.Huq and you want to chat with me about my experience and see the results of his work in person let him know you read my ad and I’m sure he will have his staff arrange it. Good luck in your pursuit of youthfulness! I have found it thanks to Dr. Huq! I will be adding more pictures as I heal! My before and after are below.

Day 5 post surgery
Things have been going well. I have switched over to extra strength Tylenol and alternating with ibuprofen every 5-6 hours now. I did get two black eyes that are not very pretty but bruising can and should be expected. My neck and ears have a very strange sensation the ears a numbing and the neck a tightness and heat from the lift and lipo. All normal but i have found lots of icing and staying elevated and not over doing it is the key. When i have removed the head garmet i find i dont feel
comfortable with it off for too long however at times I dont feel comfortable with it on either lol!
Patience is a virtue here in this process don’t panic stay on track with your meds give them time kick in and get your ice regime down. I bought several sizes and models don’t laugh at the dollar store to have on hand I am going to include a pic of the ones I like the most for different areas Ice is the answer to healing and to comfort. Also I purchased peroxide qtips poly sporin arnica gel and pills and I have been cleaning my incisions with warm salt water compresses then peroxide followed with polysporin its giving me so much relief! This process is a lot of self care! I’m noticing my skin has never looked so good also have lots of water on hand for me I bought cases to keep in my room just easier I drink a lot of water and getting up to kitchen is not possible you need you need rest. Water is also essential in your healing. Plan to have some protein shakes and fibre to keep you regular the bonus is you will Lose weight! I’m restless and definitely day 2 and 3 were the hardest but still manageable I find once I get the swelling under control the pain settles. Will keep you posted but eye on the prize here to ten years younger!! I can see it already just not camera ready if you will with the swelling it distorts but swelling is to be expected it’s facial surgery!! My adult children can’t believe the transformation already my son and daughter both keep coming into my room and saying Mom let me see you again they are doing double takes lol!!! Sorry can’t load the pics for ice packs says too large anyway go to dollar stores get your hands on the ones that you fill with ice cubes that have twist caps also get the other kinds and always have a another set waiting I use a set on face and neck so I purchased four sets my freezer is filled with them! The journey continues ...

Day 6 -
I’m 57 but I feel like I look 20 years younger already! That may be a bit of a stretch but even with the shiners I still feel beautiful!
I have a doctors appointment today at 4 pm excited to see Dr Huq to see what he thinks so far. My left ear at the back has been a bit of a problem my fault totally because wearing this head gear has been a challenge for me to keep the ears dry while icing. I think I got the one infected as it’s inflamed I see it’s fairly common too bad they don’t make a head garment that is more conducive to the ears - trying to shove gauze in there and them not fall out while
Lying in bed in the sitting up position hasn’t been easy - hopefully he will give me an antibiotic to clear this up because this has hurt more than anything and has set me back a couple days. Will keep you all posted. 6 days in and I’m taking a break from the head gear hope he says I don’t have to put it back on again because I feel like I’m in a straight jacket that is wrapped around my head lol
Vikki at the office is such a sweetheart she listens to my woes and gets right back to me. So lucky to have picked the right surgical clinical!!

Well I know it’s a big decision and being in the know and researching and googling is how I built my confidence I knew that if this many others could do it so could I! My neck was what really bothered me the most and I could see it was getting worse and I knew the time was now! Honestly the first couple days are uncomfortable but you plan for that with you pain meds and ice regime you don’t panic and you just follow the plan I’ve noticed
although everyone has a little different experience these face and neck lifts take on the same day to day recovering for the most part even if you have a minor complications - here I am day 8 and I’m back to work working remotely with camera off but still I’m working! I’m taking it easy - so if giving up one maybe two max weeks is doable for you then l say go for it you won’t regret it! The pain will be long forgotten with the excitement of your new refreshed look.

Gorgeous and an amazing transformation. Im 51 and am skinny but have jowls and starting with the turkey neck. Would you recommend doing the surgery at an earlier age or waiting? Also did you have a neck lift too? Thank you for sharing your story. It helps.

Hi Faith! Yes I had lipo and a neck lift too. My turkey neck only got worse as I aged and went through menopause. I would suggest you speak to a surgeon and see what they suggest you may be able to get away with just lipo for now. I know getting these procedures do not stop the aging process and gravity will all prevail again. I just hope I get a good 7-10 out of this. I think when that time comes I would bite the bullet and turn back the clock again - why not they say second times a charm lol! Good luck with what you decide either way you won’t regret, it just a couple weeks of pain to gain years of satisfaction is my take.
