Destination Beauty Warning
Think twice before deciding to take the dangerous risk of flying overseas for cheaper cosmetic surgery.
Having experienced such a traumatic and life changing event myself I decided I needed to use this to help others.Regardless of all the warnings and story's I had both heard and read I decided to fly over too Bangkok in may of 2019 and trust the promise made to me that all would be well and I would be taken care of. I had mid face and neck lift with upper and lower eye lift surgery in May of 2019. I was seen by Dr. Narongdej Jiarapeepan at Samitiej Thornburi Hospital the day before my surgery for my pre opp consultation. I never forget that day and have so many regrets because of the red flag I had seen but never acted on. He smelled of alcohol and his hands shook uncontrollably as he marked my face to show me where the incision lines would be. And although I went to see Mira from Destination Beauty afterward with my concerns, She had reassured me that he was a good doctor and not to worry because on the day of surgery he would be fine. I trusted this and reasoned in my mind that if he was not good, he would not be one of their top and leading surgeons. The next day I went in to have my surgery and then taken to my room to recover for a day. I was then driven back to the hotel and left alone to continue to recover. I was in pain, afraid and alone, and knew no one there. My face continued to swell beyond anything I had seen or imagine, leading to the stitching behind my right ear coming undone and causing an infection requiring daily visits to the hospital for cleaning. My lower left eye drooped down looking like a stroke victim only to find out later it was a complication known as ectropion caused by too much skin being cut away from under the eye. My ears were both stitched to my face with no separation leaving me with pixy ears and my face looking uneven. And although I was told it would eventually even out as the swelling reduced it remains uneven to this day. And requires regular filler in order to balance it out. Although I had already accepted beforehand that complications are a risk with any surgery and went ahead in good faith trusting in their promise to care and make sure I was happy with my results. I was not prepared for was what they would put me through and allow me to endure should complications arise. And the added emotional and financial cost of needing to stay longer in Thailand. All in the name of greed and "MONEY " not moralityFast forward after many emails and conversations with Destination Beauty addressing both my physical concerns and emotional distress, and no real resolution I decided enough was enough, and with a medical report supplied by a Sydney plastic surgeon along with images of the first stage of correction surgery preformed by Him I officially lodged a complaint with Destination Beauty. Then on the 4th May 2021 accountability was finally acknowledged by Destination Beauty with one major problem, the resolution proved to be less about doing the right thing and seeking to rectify the problems and more about avoidance of cost to them. The Destination Beauty Board. had decided to do the revision surgery in Bangkok, whilst there is currently an international travel ban in place in Australia, rather than taking the simplest and logical solution of proceeding with revision surgery from their Sydney Branch???And not only that but if I was able to get a travel exception, to fly out to Bangkok in the first place, then I would also need to come up with thousands of dollars to cover the cost of the following 1. return flights from Sydney to Bangkok2. Quarantine on arrival in Thailand 3. Anesthetist fees4. Accommodation whilst recovering in Thailand 5. Quarantine on return to Sydney Which I worked out at an estimated total cost to me of around $7,000 to $8,000 plus. Whist all this could be avoided by simply sending me to their newly opened Destination Beauty Branch in Sydney.DON'T, DON'T DON'T USE DESTINATION BEAUTY ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Provider Review
Destination Beauty Bangkok
They will sell you a false sense of safety and security untill things go horribly wrong. Then they will do everything they can to make it impossible for you to have it rectified. Still nothing productive from them and I am not holding my breath, hoping they will.
