Dr Galitz will do a revision on the bags under my eyes

AmberMoon
WORTH IT$7,000
I thought the bags under my eyes were getting better....using ElastidermEye and also Beverly Hills MD Advanced Scar Therapy. However I had a rude awakening. Gizmo, my Shi Tzu, and I went to visit Gizmos foster mother, and brought her a banana bread. Gizzies foster mom asked me "Who punched you in the eye?". Ouch. While visiting my 89 year old mother she commented that I did not have any lines on my forehead but there was a big line under my eyes.
At my 3 month post op appointment I brought this up to Dr Galitz. I asked about steroid injections, but he decided a small revision was called for. Now the appointment is for February 6, 2020. I did not want this just before my Mother's 90th birthday. So once again I will have stitches in my face. At least no downtime....they know me too well and I have always immediately worked. Will be happy to loose the bags. Will follow with 2 pictures to RealSelf

I don't mean to be judgemental but I don't think he's done a very good job. You still have sagging jowls and you don't look as though you've had a facelift. I'd definitely be ping back for revision. Sorry to be so harsh but I'm trying to be honest.

You are not being harsh, I prefer honesty.
I complained about the bags under my eyes before the FL, after having my eyes done. I am going for revisions for the bags under the eyes. I have previously tried various products, while it helped, it did not eliminate the problem That is why I spoke to Dr. Galitz,
What do you see wrong with the jowls? I am not sure, I want your input. I had several people say I looked much more refreshed, now I am getting the comment from my Gizmos foster mom. I prefer honesty before a revision which is presenly sceduled for February 6/
My mothers 90th birthday comes first, January 27l Then the revision on February65. Please, any help is greatefully accepted

My dear for $7000 you should be looking younger and refreshed. Not sure what this Dr. did but your face should be looking smoother she should not have bags unless its from swelling. Hopefully your getting better results as of now.

I think in these two pictures I was very tired. Had to be on the road at 6;30 for 2 hearings, and then saw Dr Galitz. Added on two strenuous weeks with my mother, she has dementia and then ill with another UTI. I had to stay 2 days more.
The revision is scheduled for February 6. The bags contain Juvederm from the first surgery, eyelids in 2018. Wish me luck with that!

Ambermoon, you seem like a very nice woman that only wants to look her best and enjoy life,
however I agree with the other 2 ladies. I'm no doctor but I believe that a better job could have been done if he did a lower face lift. You should have no sagging jowls. Your jawline should be smooth all the way back to your ear...no wrinkles and no loose skin. Good luck with your revisions and if not 100% happy speak up.

I agree with everything @shoelover13 wrote.

Hi Ambermoon I had to read and re read what you had done. I agree you are a lovely person inside and ou?t I love you have a smile in all your pictures! I don't see where he did your facelift, where are the stitches around the ear and in the hairline above the ear and in the hairline behind the ear for the jowls and neck? He did upper and lower bleph last year? Do you have allergies acting up? I don't want you to think I am being critical cause I am here for support please let me know what I may be missing or maybe there are some pics we haven't seen? Keep us posted please!

I had posted pictures right after the stitches were removed, back in October. I had stitches all around my ears, and also from the browlift, which were across my brow and into my hair.
I do not suffer from allergies, however the bags were there from the first surgery. I had brought that up prior to the facelift, and he said that should be eliminated. They were not. I have tried several serums, they worked a little but not enough. I will say that I was completely exhausted from over 2 weeks with my mother, she is 89 and has dementia. She was ill with a UTI and on 1/03 I thought she was going to die in my arms. Had to stay 2 more days, a delayed plane, had to work the following day. Mother is doing better. I sent the comments to Dr Galitz last night, and let him know that I was very upset.
I wanted to do the facelift and browlift before anything happened with mother. Then I will have to handle the house which is full of 40 years of accumulation from my parents. A lot of work. Now another surgery. Too much on my platter. LOL

So sorry you are going through so much. I hope you get the face you want and are happy. Who cares what anyone else thinks. Be well dear and keep us posted on your progress. ..hugs

I know. 6 days post op I went to court, with a scarf. But now 3 months post op I care very much what I look like. I will have the revision, hopefully Dr Galitz will address the jowls. The face lift did help remove a lot of the wrinkles. Two years ago my mother informed me that my skin was all wrinkled. I responded "you gave those to me" as she had fallen, I had to find an assisted living for her. Now she does not see all of the wrinkles, but she did see the bags. She has dementia, I feel so sorry for her. Thank you for the hugs, I will be ok.

My browlift received Juvederm today, Dr. Galitz said I am healing very well.

I went for my next scheduled appointment, and brought up that I was not satisfied with the brow lift. I had mentioned this last appointment and Dr. Galitz had mentioned using botox, as he could not do more with surgery, My brows have had deep wrinkles since age 30. As botox has not worked well for me, we decided on Juvederm which does work well for me. I currently have Juvederm injections in my forehead, and also a touch up around my chin. An added blessing, I did not have to pay for this, Dr Galitz was very nice about that.

Are you happy with the results with the Juvederm added?
December 8, 2019
I am . My problem was and still is, that my brows had very deep wrinkles since age 30. Loosing the last 20 lbs in 2012 did not help my face. Dr Galitz removed over one inch piece of skin from my brow, and I still had wrinkles. Botox only worked for a short time, this year I went to him 3 times for the Botox. The Juvederm is working now, we shall see what happens. Dr Galitz said this can cause bumps, so far only very minimally, so I am happy.

Dr Galitz said I am healing well

AmberMoon
Now I am becoming critical of my face. I had a browlift, and I still have wrinkles. I have had them since age 30, and yes, they are much better, but they are still there. Additional surgical intervention will not help, according to Dr. Galitz, but I can use botox. Problem is, botox does not last very long for me. I wonder if he can use Juvederm, that seems to last forever. Under my eyes still have the Juvederm from last year, not sure what we can do with this. Afraid if he will do surgery I will have a huge bruise again. He said to wait until I heal more......Patience is a virtue and I do not have this particular virtue! LOL

You are to be commended for your positive attitude. I'm 2 months post-op and still not comfortable in public. I still have swelling and redness (had laser too) so I feel like people are staring at me. Possibly in my head. I love how quickly you went back to work, regardless of the bruises. You're a brave woman or I'm far too self conscious (or both)!
November 22, 2019
I went back to work the same day I had the facelift. I have 2 jobs, one working from home, and the other going to court. I am self employed and I cannot afford to miss out on money. I was called on day 5 if I could go to Miami for Immigration court, I did say I had surgery the previous week and they said "that was last week" and I want to keep the client. I worked every day after cataract surgery, and after my eyelid surgery. I think I am a workaholic, true, but this keeps my mind from worrying about my 89 year old mother who is in assisted living with hospice. The first 3-4 days were a little hard but I had to handle my responsibilties so I did. 4 dogs, 3 cats, I live alone.
Everybody heals differently. I refused laser as it takes too long to recover. Am using the
rGlycolic 10 Renew Overnight which I am a tester, it is helping a great deal, it does cost $80 but I get it for free through Real Self, otherwise it is $80.
Put on makeup and go out! People most likely will not look or comment! Good luck with this.....remember most other people think most about themselves!
P.S. I told people I had surgery last week, nobody asked what kind of surgery!!! LOL!!!
November 26, 2019
Why did ou have you upper and lower lids done?
November 27, 2019
My eyelids were done August 2018 after I had undergone three cataract surgeries. My eyelids were drooping heavily, and I would become very sleepy at hearings. I was told that this was medically necessary. This was my first encounter with plastic surgery, After the eyelids and a lot of Botox and Juvederm Dr. Galitz and I decided on a brow lift and a face lift. That was performed on October 10, 2019. I am very glad to have done this!
December 8, 2019
Sorry , but I know there's lots of swelling, etc. still can't see results
December 8, 2019
Not sure what you are commenting on. My surgery was October 10, the Juvederm was December 2, I am almost 2 months post op, I can definitely see results. The nurse and I looked at old pictures, compared to now, there are excellent results. I am very pleased.
