Summer 2022. At 62 years old, I looked like 80 years. Wrinkles, sogging skin, hanging eyes. I had no self-confidence, didn’t want to go out to socialize, “hiding”. I lost interest in public activities; I retreated into my house like a cocoon. I lost me, Marianne. I didn’t want to be like that. I am a good, funny outgoing person, I have a good soul. I have an amazing husband. We live in a fantastic country.
I HAD TO DO SOMETHING.
I pulled myself together and walked over to “Clinica Fernandez Blanco” across the street. (lucky me).
I wasn’t sure what they could do for me, first of all, I hoped they speak English. They do, everyone is very friendly, is like a little family. I felt welcome from the first minute.
I was interested in the “Indiba facial treatments”.
I started with “indiba” and had amazing results done by Geovanna. She is fabulous in her profession.
I have always said I don’t want any FACIAL SURGERY. And NEVER definitely NOT FACELIFT.
HOWEVER, As I felt more comfortable at the clinic, having trust in the team, I decided to do eyelids Blepharoplasty. My eyelids were very bad, hanging and reducing my eyesight.
NOVEMBER 2022. Eyelids Blepharoplasty. I was nervous, I have a very low tolerance for pain. The surgery went very well. I didn’t feel anything. The downtime was as expected, some pain, as they always say, “its normal”, I could manage it. The scars are practically invisible. The results were truly amazing. “eye-catching” if I may say so. I felt AWAKE, looked FRESHER and HAPPIER. :)
I continued to have facial massages regularly with fantastic Geovanna. She is my little “butterfly”.
Honestly, the deep wrinkles and in my face were still there. My eyes were great, BUT I had to take the next step. I decided to talk to Dr. Fernandez about having a “weekend lift”.
Dr Fernadez Blanco is an extraordinary personality. He is so calm, so honest and straight forward to talk to. He explains his professional opinion, in a personal way, what’s best for me.
A “weekend lift” is not for me. He explained he would not be proud to do this procedure in my case. Is for recover skin tone, in “younger” people. I needed a complete facelift. I was very surprised, at first disappointed, BUT I understood Dr. Fernandez heartfelt honest opinion. He really cares for you, not just “another surgery”. So, No “weekend lift”.
I thought about the complete facelift day and night. I talked to my husband, day and night, ha, and finally decided to go for the complete facelift.
From “never to have a facelift”, to DO IT anyway. It takes guts, I was terrified.
NEVERTHELESS, I had so much trust in Dr. Fernandez and team, I was able to overcome the anxiety and go through with it.
January 2023. Complete face lift.
The surgery went very well. No complications. I woke up with a very heavy head. No pain, of course I was giving painkillers. My husband was there of course. Dr. Fernandez explained everything went well. Carolina, the manager of the clinic, Dr. Fernandez daughter, is an amazing lady. She is always there for me, throughout various procedures. Supportive and caring. She helped a lot to give me the courage to find myself again. Love her.
The downtime and recovery time felt very long for me. I had a lot of pain, especially my ears. The head compress band I had to wear 24/7 was horrible. Claustrophobia. Couldn’t eat, drink or sleep. Sitting up constantly. My husband nursed me 24/7. Ice packs, medicine, cleaning of wounds. He was incredible all the time. We were explained what to do, and we did everything correctly. The pain and discomfort are all NORMAL. But honestly, I was in a lot of pain. I think it was about 3 weeks of real down time. I don’t remember exactly timings. We have been told the procedures in detail, there are no hidden surprises from the Clinic. It is what it is. Some people are more sensitive than others. They called several times to check on me, also on weekends, and were exceptionally attentive all the time.
I couldn’t ask for any better Doctors and team.
The time went by, the pain was less, and I see the changes in my face.
I didn’t ask or expect to look 20 years younger, to being “40 again”!
I just wanted to look like me, a 60+ years woman. I DID IT. THAT’S ME. It is hard to comprehend what I have been through, before, during and after.
The scars from facelift are so perfect, you don’t see it at all.
It was incredible to see MYSELF, the Marianne I lost, is back. I go out, socialize, see friends, have a great time with my husband, he is my soul mate, best friend and greatest of all. I do not cocoon in my house anymore; a butterfly flew out.
2023/2024. Aesthetic medicine. Dr. Natalia Pshenychna. She also assisted Dr. Fernandez in my surgeries.
Continuously, I have regularly treatments with this incredible doctor. She is one of a kind. Again, some treatments are painful for me, she is doing her best to reduce pain. She knows I am overly sensitive. Most importantly, she understands my “needs”, what fits me best at the time. Not too much, not too little. She is also very honest, explaining some procedures are possible, some not, in my case. She is very professional, sweet, beautiful, a wonderful lady I am happy to know. She is doing miracles for me.. I have enormous respect for Dr. Natalia.
I am turning 65 soon. The results of all my procedures speak for themselves. Photos. I feel great, inside and out.
I cannot thank Dr. Fernandez and team enough. I 100% recommend. If I can do it, anyone can! :)
