Best Birthday Gift from my Hubby!

WORTH IT
Last year, for our anniversary, my wonderful husband gifted me a life-changing surgery—my facelift, neck lift, platysmaplasty, and face fat graft. It felt like a dream come true. I had been concerned about my aging appearance for a few years, especially as I was turning 50, but feeling like I looked closer to 60-70 really took a toll on my confidence.
I had my consultation with Dr. Choi Jae Ik, who speaks English fluently and really took the time to explain everything. He recommended a few procedures, and, well, I ended up getting them all done together (lol)! Honestly, the decision wasn't easy, but I’m so glad I took the leap.
The recovery process had its moments, of course. The pain was manageable, and the swelling was definitely uncomfortable at times, but with some painkillers, I could sleep through the nights, which made all the difference. I also did some Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) because my blood circulation wasn’t the best, and it really helped speed up my recovery.
Now, 5 months post-op, I’m amazed at how far I’ve come! The swelling in my temple area has improved over time, and while I know it will take a bit more time to fully settle, I already feel fantastic about my results. My sagging skin is finally gone, and I feel like I’ve reclaimed my youth. It's been such a rewarding experience, and I couldn't be happier with how things turned out!

Update!! Post-op after AB!

Now that I’m over a year post-op, I can honestly say the transformation has been worth every moment of downtime. My face has continued to refine beautifully. The swelling in my temples, which took the longest to settle, is now almost completely gone. My skin doesn’t sag anymore, my jawline is defined, and I feel like I’ve gained back a decade — maybe two — of youth and confidence.
What I appreciate most is how natural everything looks. I don’t feel “overdone.” I just feel like the best, refreshed version of myself.
Because of how happy I am with my results, I’m already planning to return to AB in 2026 for a few additional procedures to maintain what I have and enhance a couple of areas I’ve been wanting to improve. I truly feel in safe hands with their team, and I’m excited for what’s next. I will be getting my upper lid done, and also some minimally invasive procedure too
If anyone is considering facial rejuvenation, especially a full combination like I had, give yourself time to heal and be patient with the swelling, the one-year mark is where the real magic reveals itself. I couldn’t be more grateful for how everything turned out.
