5 MONTH POST OP FOLLOWUP 6/18/24

I had my 5 month post op follow up visit with Dr. Joseph. Took photos, and my incisions have healed. The ones around my ears are completely invisible now. My hair is growing through the hairline incision, which has faded considerably, and I'm continuing to use the compounded ERASE serum to fade it completely. It doesn't make the new hair oily, so it can still be rubbed into the incision scar. The incision under my nostril from the lip lift has faded considerably. I still have a faint white line where the skin was actually cut, and a tiny bit of a bumpy texture where stitches were, but for the most part, it is not noticeable unless you look very closely directly under my nostrils. It covers up easily with minimal makeup, and I'm still using ERASE on it twice daily. I still see gradual improvement there. The skin care regimen I've been on has greatly helped with smoothing out texture, building collagen and tightening skin. I've been diligent with it twice a day. The previously recommended laser treatment of face and neck is no longer really necessary due to the textural improvement due to the skin care regimen. In the side view photo, you can see a small lump under my chin, and although that doesn't bother me much, it did bother Dr. Joseph. He had me raise up my chin a little, and the lump disappears, so it's not a matter that it wasn't pulled enough during surgery. It can be corrected with Morpheus8 treatment, an in office procedure using microneedling with radiofrequency. It's reasonably priced, and I'm scheduled for that in September. That will remodel collagen and tighten up that particular small area. Everything else has settled in and healed very well. I'm very pleased with how everything has turned out, and I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Joseph to anyone wanting natural looking results.

4/10/24 Lip lift scar about 3 mos. post. No makeup

Lip lift scar on 4/10/24 about 3 months post op. No makeup on, just after washing face and applying skin care. Some people are concerned about the scar taking long to heal. It does take longer than eyelids, ears, etc.. It is barely noticeable.

LIP LIFT UPDATE 4/9/24

Lip Lift Update Photo

April 9th, about 3 months post-op. I received a question about how my lip lift scar is doing. It's still improving weekly by using the scar removal serum from Acadian Skin Care. This is a shot in daylight with minimal makeup concealer to cover it, and nostrils wiped with tissue a few times, so some of the concealer came off. The only other makeup is a touch of BB mineral powder. The lip lift result is totally worth dealing with a scar that takes a longer time to flatten out and fade.
