5 weeks post-op - honestly look and feel 15 years younger

Amazing Face and Neck Lift

Dr. Amadi is realistic with the results he promises and is willing to spend the time you need to get your questions answered. I saw Dr. Amadi inquiring about a neck lift and lower face lift. He gave me several options and supported the choice I made. I felt very confident in his knowledge and skills, and I did lots of research in reviews that supported this observation.
As surgery day approached my anxiety was increasing, but I think this is normal. Dr. Amadi and his staff offered me support and solutions to work through this. Post op went well. I will have to admit I did not prepare myself for the level of surgery this is. Dr. Amadi and his staff made everything very clear to me, but the gravity did not set in until post op. The pain was not unbearable and easily managed with meds. I was pleasantly surprised at how little bruising there was too. The swelling was what I anticipated, but this part I was aware of was the internal feeling or lack thereof.
I'm post op 5 weeks and I am still regenerating feeling. It mostly feels like someone is pulling on my face all of the time with numb areas. I'm trusting the process and know that in time this will fade. Dr. Amadi made it clear to me that recovery can be 6 -12 months. I think what I understand now is that is not the esthetics of it. Esthetically I'm ecstatic! The pre and post op pictures are amazing, again I'm 5 weeks out and I have no regrets. But the underlying healing and regeneration are still in process and based on how I feel right now, this could go on for another 3-6 months. But that's ok, I'm down for that. I just wish I had personally set this expectation early on. I didn't find many people shared this part of their experience and I know everyone process will be slightly different.
I honestly look and feel 15 years younger and while the healing process is still happening, and I experience little different things along the way I feel so much better about how I look. I no longer obsess over the sagging neck and chipmunk jowls. The scars are super easy to hide and every day they fade more and more. I know there will be a day, these won't even cross my mind. For me this was the best decision and Dr. Amadi is fantastic.
