Scheduled my lower facelift surgery

Yay!

I love the way I look finally!! The swelling has gone down significantly but I am still somewhat swollen and also bruised. I had my sutures taken out yesterday. Today I wore makeup for the first time, and a turtleneck, lol, to cover up the yellow bruises on my neck. Nobody seemed to notice any bruises. My jawline is defined and my neck looks so very much better. I look younger and I am guessing maybe 5 to 7 years younger, at least I think so anyways, lol. I will continue to sleep inclined to help with swelling and no leaning forward and I will keep drinking lots of water. I started arnica gel on my scars today. And I will start silicone strips maybe in a few days on my scars. I need to wait till my scars are not crusting and then I can use those the doctors office said. I actually went to Walmart today and bought the silicone strips there. They were around $10 and are reusable. Dr. Vargas is awesome.

Thank you. Dr. Vargas’ office told me about the silicone strips and told me I would be able to start using them this next week. Right now I’m not supposed to put anything at all on them to prevent an infection in the suture line. And my doctor did an excellent job placing the incisions as they are only noticeable if you’re really looking for them and it’s not even been two weeks yet since my surgery. I’m very pleased with the results now that the swelling has gone down. Thank you so much for your support! I looked up your name and saw your pics and you’re a very beautiful woman. I’d love to have a chest like yours and I’m glad you went for it. Good luck on your journey.
Aww, thank you for the compliments! Yes, I personally wasn’t crazy with the silicone strips but I don’t like anything being stuck to me. I’m glad your Dr placed the incisions properly. I read in one of your post she only does sx from the shoulders up. That’s her specialty so it’s great she knows exactly where to place the incisions and so forth. I’m very happy your finally thrilled with your results. Even with breasts sx, it’s an emotional journey. I think any plastic sx probably is. Take care. ❣️❤️❣️
Yes I sure it’s an emotional journey with any surgery. I would love to get my breasts done someday. I am almost 54 and they are sagging and I hate it, lol. But maybe someday. You take care too and thank you for your support.

Well tomorrow I get my sutures taken out. It’s been a struggle, lol. Up until today I was second-guessing my decision to do this because my face has been so swollen. It’s gradually been getting better and I am seeing that my neck and face look much better than before. I’ve not left my house once all week though because I looked so horribly swollen. I also have golden and purplish-colored bruises. But it’s all finally looking much better.

I hope swelling goes down! Luckily in the winter it's easier to find excuses to stay indoors :) Keep us posted on the bruising and swelling.

Glad to hear it’s getting a bit better. It would be nice to share some b&a photos to help others in their journeys. I want to thank you for taking your time to post your experiences in detail. It’s really brave but I found it actually comforting in a sense. I felt it helped me through my process as I knew others on here understood what I was going through and that helped tremendously! Just remember to have patience w/your healing process. I bet your going to look absolutely stunning once your completely healed! Thank you for sharing your journey. I hope you have a wonderful holiday. Happy continued healing dear. (*(*hugs*)*) ❣️❤️❣️

Surgery is tomorrow!!

I am so excited that I’m getting my lower facelift tomorrow morning. I have waited for two years to get this done and as time goes by I see the wrinkles everywhere. I have avoided pics of any kind so it was hard for me to realize the extent of my face dropping but I’ve been taking lots in the last month or two and it’s bad. I total have faith in Dr. Vargas and I am confident she will help me. The part that bothers me the most is my neck and coming in second is my jowls. I am so very ready for this and so very happy Dr. Vargas will be my surgeon. She only does surgery from the shoulders up and I have total confidence in her. She is very professional with the sweetest personality and lots of patience.
