Honest Review: My Experience with Dr. Anthony Admire and My Facelift Procedure
In January 2025, I underwent an extensive facial rejuvenation surgery performed by Dr. Anthony Admire at Paradise Valley Multi-Specialty Surgery Center. My procedures included an endoscopic brow lift with Endotine fixation, an extended deep-plane facelift, a deep neck lift, bilateral lower blepharoplasties, and periorbital and midface fat grafting.
To begin with, I want to be fair. The results of the facelift, mid-face work, neck lift, and brow lift were decent. The overall contour of my face improved, and the lower portion of my face healed well. Unfortunately, the area around my eyes — particularly the lower lids and under-brow region — has been a continuing source of disappointment and distress.
Within weeks of surgery, I noticed significant hollowness under my eyes and persistent puffiness just below my brows. I was told this swelling would subside over time, but after ten months, it has not improved. The result leaves my eyes appearing sunken beneath and swollen above, giving an uneven and unnatural look.
I approached Dr. Admire on three separate occasions to discuss these concerns. Each time, I did so respectfully, with a willingness to collaborate on a solution — even offering to pay for corrective procedures if needed. Unfortunately, I did not receive the level of engagement or accountability I expected from a surgeon of his reputation. Instead of a direct plan or meaningful dialogue, I was referred to his physician assistant and offered Sculptra injections, which I did not feel addressed the core issue.
Still concerned, I sought two independent second opinions from other highly qualified surgeons, including one dual-board-certified oculoplastic surgeon. Both confirmed similar findings: that the fat pads under my eyes were not removed but rather cauterized and left in place, and that there appeared to be either fat transfer or filler material beneath my brows, contributing to the persistent puffiness. Both surgeons agreed that these issues were unlikely to resolve naturally and recommended surgical correction.
As a result, I am now preparing to undergo another round of corrective surgery, which is expected to cost approximately $20,000 — an expense and ordeal I never anticipated after investing so much in what was meant to be a single, comprehensive rejuvenation.
I never imagined I’d be writing a review like this. I selected Dr. Admire based on his credentials, reviews, and professional demeanor, believing I was choosing a top-tier, ethical surgeon who would not only perform quality work but also stand by his results and work with patients to resolve complications. Unfortunately, my experience has been the opposite.
My takeaway for anyone considering surgery with Dr. Admire is this:
He may do reasonable work on certain areas of the face, but in my personal experience, the eye area is not his strength. More importantly, his aftercare and responsiveness to patient concerns were profoundly disappointing. When surgical outcomes fall short, patients deserve empathy, transparency, and a collaborative path forward — not deflection.
If you are considering facial surgery, please consult multiple surgeons, especially if your procedures involve the delicate areas around the eyes. Choose someone who listens, follows up, and takes ownership of your care beyond the operating room.
