WONDERFUL REVISION—By Dr. Tanya Kahn 4/11/21

Dr. Tanya Kahn is the most amazing, caring and personable doctor I know, do I need to say anymore? She’s skilled and very kind as well! I am about nine months out from an upper eyelid revision, and while it was a minor revision I wanted it.

I had an upper blep with trans brow lift on 7/2/20 with a good results except for some extra skin on my right eyelid. This became apparent as I healed and the swelling subsided. I emailed photos to my PS and team and they suggested I massage my lid and use the scar cream and keep them updated. At my six month checkup the PS agreed that my right eye had some extra skin and could use a little tweak but would not touch it until one year. I learned that your results are pretty much established around month three and you do continue to see smoothness in the incision and lid going forward but obviously the skin was not going to retract. I know I could have returned to the PS but decided I wanted another opinion.I reached out on RealSelf at nine months and Dr. Tanya Kahn, Oculoplastic Surgeon was the first to respond and I scheduled a consultation. She stated that I had a good result and also agreed that my right lid could use a tweak as well as tiny bit on my left. The revision was 4/11/21. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and the staff! I had a sedative and local numbing injections; the procedure took a little over an hour and I walked out without the awful side effects of anesthesia to deal with. I only wished that I would have researched Oculoplastic surgery and learned that it is a specialized area of ophthalmology that focuses on the eyelids and entire structure surrounding the eye.
