Stitches out. Day 6

Stitches came out today and what a lovely feeling of them being gone. No more itching! Painless removal just felt a weird sensation. I’ve attached a photo. The stitch just glided out.

My surgeon was really happy with how I am healing!
She recommended a good scar cream. Made by La Roche Posey - soothing repairing balm. I will start to use this and gentle massage the scars ensuring to use lymphatic drainage techniques also.

I’m really happy

ORIGINAL POST

Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty

I’ve wanted this surgery for years but I was told by my loved ones I was too young etc etc. i took the leap and did it after seeing Dr V on here. Researching into her work I was happy I’ve chosen the perfect surgeon.

Consultation - I was made to feel very welcome, the clinic was clean and was easy to find. Before photos were taken but I had a full face of make up on and false lashes so we re took some the morning of surgery.

Day of Surgery - I arrived early and waited in the waiting area, Dr V walked in and noticed me sat there. Said good morning Ashleigh and asked how I was. It was lovely she knew my name and I felt at ease instantly. I was shown to my room not long after getting there, the anaesthesiologist came up to introduce herself and do her checks she was really sweet. Then Matilda came to collect me for surgery. Matilda was so lovely she asked if I was okay as I must have looked nervous! Then I got into the operating theatre which was very surreal but instead of freaking out me and the ladies were chatting away! The just as I was about to go to sleep Dr V popped her head over and said “you are in good hands Ashleigh we will take great care of you”
I woke up in my room by my surgeon after a very lovely sleep. She checked me over and got me to open my eyes. She said all went great and that she managed to take away a fair bit of fat which was great!

I went home and at her request I lived like a 95 year old lady. I had lovely bed rest and had no pain. Just uncomfortable at times.

Stitches are being removed tomorrow so I will update! So far so good!
