Upper Eyelids Botched Twice. The "Revision" Just Made Things Far Worse.
I had an upper eyelid surgery that was underresected by a general PS, then 14 months later, hoping to remove a little excess skin left hanging over my eyelids, (they continued to sag after an initially acceptable result) a facial plastic surgeon greatly overresected both lids in an overly aggressive revision.
Now my eyes are rounded instead of almond, hollowed out, recessed...my eyebrows are obviously asymmetrical and sag even worse with too much skin and fat removed. I've seen an expert on eyelid surgery who thinks additional surgery would only risk more problems. He thinks the change to the size and shape is irreversible, and advised the use of fillers, or not doing anything and living with dramatically altered and hollowed out eyes, ugly visible scars, a thick inner eye corner web, and aged appearance. I'm still looking to find someone who will at least help to make this situation a little more tolerable.
My lessons learned: Only use a highly skilled eye surgeon for any eye surgery, particularly secondary/revision work. If your eyes are already botched, ONLY USE AN OCULOPLASTIC SURGEON to repair them. Find someone who focuses around 50% of their practice on revision eyelid surgery and who produces photo evidence that he/she is skilled at repairing issues like yours.

already saw Massry..said no more surgery, too risky. thanks anyway though.
Look for Dr Glenn Murray in Australia. He is very good. Goodluck
It’s a shame it is way too far for me!
Did he say why it is too risky?
Hi. I have the same problem. I am going to consult with Massry and Nakra in Austin.
I had a bleph in 2005 and loved it. Then this guy convinced me to get a bleph for eyes I liked.
How have you been? Have you done anything or plan to?

Hi GETREAL51, Did you have already consult with Dr Niakra ? I'm from UK, I was terribly botched here in London. There is no one who can help me in Uk.
I planned to see Dr Niakra end of June, however, due to ongoing coronavirus I had to cancel my travel. I had already consult with Dr Massry, Taban and Stensapier from LA but I heard that Dr Niakra is very good, so I would like to see him in person, once this virus calm down

I have a consult scheduled with Massry and with Nakra - both the 1st week of sept. I can let you know how it goes. I’m trying to get through til then. Have you consulted with anyone?
Who did your London surgery as i'm looking into having my eyebags done in London now? Had 2 consultations already with others.
I heard Dr. Guy Massary very good. Which surgeon did you go for 1st & 2nd surgery ?
My first beautiful surgery was Dr Adrian Lo in Philadelphia. I did not go back to him for face because I got a tummy tuck from him and the scar was cut high on one side (way above a bathing suit line) and I wanted someone who just did faces instead of head to toe.
My second surgery was done in Radnor pa but I signed a hold harmless gag order so I can’t publish his name.
I think he didn’t read my chart that I had a previous bleph. When I told him 4 times I like my eyes and don’t need it, he said he would just remove a little skin and will do it for $1000! I deferred to him because he did a nice conservative job on face. I thought he saw something I didn’t. I think he got in too deep once he started the procedure.

Why don’t you have a profile?
I am doing teleconferencing with Dr Massry on Sep 8 and dr Nakra on sept 9. If they think they can help I will fly out for a consult. I am going to my Opthalmologist/oculo surgeon next week. I will ask her if I have good tissue and blood flow. She said do nothing and she could not help me because she had only been licensed for a year.
I heard on this site that dr taban had botched some people. I also heard through a couple people that dr Steinsaper was all about the money and there are no patients or phone calls. Which I believe because I talked to Faith a couple times for an hour and the phone never rang.

Honestly I'm so scared at this point any suggestions are welcome. Please post updates.
