Day 3 port Upper and lower Blepharoplasty

Other than some itching and minor discomfort from the stitches and tape, I feel really good.

Upper and lower Blepharoplasty on 60yo

I've had genetic eyebags for over 20 years and have always wanted to get them fixed, but the time just wasn't right. About two months ago, looking in the mirror I decided I couldn't take it anymore. I talked to several plastic surgeons before deciding on Kathleen Waldorf.
My initial consultation with her was good. She seemed straightforward and honest and explained what she could do. She said I was a good candidate since I didn't have any physical conditions that would limit my ability to heal from the surgery. I asked her how many of these she had done, and it was obvious that she had plenty of experience.
We decided to do both an upper and lower eyelid repair. The price for everything, including surgery, anesthesia and the operating room came to about $8400.
I'm now on day two, my surgery was yesterday morning at 10 AM. Last night wasn't too bad, I didn't even really need any pain medication. I did take some Tylenol. They gave me some drops for dry eyes, but my eyes weren't very dry/ didn't need them. There is tape on both my upper and lower lid areas, Dr Waldorf explained it helped reduce swelling.
I have been diligent with ice, for at least 15 minutes every hour. Usually more. A bag of frozen peas forms around the area well, I had to put them in a ziplock to get the right size to cover both eyes.
I have been using arnica on my cheeks below my eyes not too close to the surgery area to help with bruising. I will try and take pictures for the next few days so you can see how the healing progresses.
So far I'm delighted.
