WORTH IT
Here's a pic I saved of 5 weeks after the procedure. Definitely worth the $$$ and healing time. If you've just had this done, be patient and let your body do it's thing healing. :)
The second pic is a bit different lighting (in the car - isn't that always the best lol) just a selfie about 2 months after my procedure with a wee bit of makeup on.

ORIGINAL POST
Upper & Lower Blepharoplasty by Dr. Taban - Very Pleased
I'm a 43 year old woman that feels 30 but my eyes were showing me otherwise and it had been bothering me for quite some time. I've always had hooded eyes and eye bags that were very puffy. It's made me look so tired and a bit "mean". Several of my family members have had surgery to remove the upper skin on their eyelids as it ends up hanging over the eyelid and blocking vision. No thank you! I wasn't going to wait until I was 65 to have this done as my other family has.
Two weeks ago I had upper and lower blepharoplasty plus a little mole by my left eye removed by Dr. Taban in Beverly Hills, CA.
I was VERY nervous about the procedure, especially since I flew in by myself, but his staff, Zaira and the other ladies, were so so comforting and helped me through - even helped me get my uber back to the hotel so I could rest. I really appreciated that!!
I had researched extensively before selecting Dr. Taban so I knew he would do an amazing job - he's such an artist and leaves you looking like YOU, but more refreshed and quite frankly, younger. I'll take that! He is very nice and patient, which I needed because of my nerve overload. Even though you trust the Dr you choose, you still get nervous because I mean, it's your face!! Yikes if you choose the wrong Dr.
I had local and that's the worst part, which Dr Taban told me it would be - it's not pleasant but only lasts a short time and then the surgery is underway. The surgery did not hurt as I was numb and had taken a Xanax for the nerves. Surgery was not long at all.
I'm an easy bruiser so I expected to be quite bruised through this process. I was able to go about my daily activities with a large pair of sunglasses on. My eyes are still a tiny bit swollen but I anticipate that will come down here soon and the bruising will be gone in the coming week or so.
Advice to out of town people - IF you can, stay a couple of days and just rest. I flew back home the next day to my 2 year old and several other kids to take care of and would have been better off just staying at least an extra day to rest. Live and learn. :) Your kids don't understand you not being 100% at all times. lol
My rating of Dr Taban would be more than 5 stars - excellent, excellent A+ doctor and well worth flying across the US for! I did consult with 3 doctors prior to choosing him but after watching his instagram for about a year and doing the FaceTime consultation, I knew he was the right fit for me.
I know my results will continue to improve as I'm just 2 weeks out at this point and already look so much better. I'll post back in a couple of months.

Please keep posting pics! I’m going under in 2 weeks. Did you have fat transfer done under your eyes? What was the next day like?
The day after was tough, I kept getting sick to my stomach, but I slept a lot so that's what I'd recommend. Just don't plan anything and sleep, sleep!
Stunning
Looks great! I can’t believe you had local! Wow! I was put out. I had upper and lower. I’m a little bummed that my right eye is sagging a little at the corner. It’s not symmetrical. Not sure what to do.
Thank you! If I had it to do over I definitely would have been put out. Local was the cheaper option and it was ok - I lived - lol but I'd go under general if I did anything else just because of the anxiety factor.
You look amazing! I have already decided I'm getting Dr Taban to do my eyes but i am a little nervous about having the local. But I do prefer that to being put under the general, i just have to fight my nerves. Seeing your results helps thanks for sharing.
Thank you and good luck with your procedure!!
Thank you! As I just commented to the above poster - I'd do general if I was going to do it again. Goooooood luck to you! Taban is such a great artist. Doesn't look overdone - just you but refreshed.
