I'm now hollowed under both eyes

ORIGINAL POST

Please Just Love Yourself

I've developed bags after using serum under eyes. And went to plastic surgeon to discuss options. He recommended lower blepharoplasty. His reviews were high and before and after pics looked great. So after debating on reading reviews how it's a simple procedure with high success rates I went for it.
Turned out as of now 34m. To be the worst decision of my life. I'm now hollowed under both eyes. Right one is more hollow. Eyes look uneven, with dark circles in pictures. Devastating. I've become a recluse, I'm avoiding mirrors. Lost interest in most things.
So as my heading states. Please just love yourself as you are. I miss my bags and I'm filled with regret. Looking for anyone going thru the same please reach out. Thanks for listening

My story is the same, under informed and over sold by a surgeon who wasn't honest about what would happen. This is such an invasive surgery with high complications and low satisfaction, it's not worth it. Unless you have serious issues, don't even consider it. It's not a simple fat moving procedure, ligaments are detached and orbital fat is all harvested, and also it is a highly complex situation to rectify. I'm so sorry this happened to you and hope you can forgive yourself for being deceived.
I’m dealing with a very similar issue. I feel incredibly naive and had no idea how much this would change my face. So sorry this happens to so many people. It’s pretty shocking
Hey sorry you're going thru this as well. It can be really devastating. Please feel free to message me if you need to talk. I understand how it can be isolating
Hi. How are you ? İ have the same problem. İm searching what can ı do . Had you far reposition or only remove
Hey I'm doing OK. Still dealing with this mistake. But better mentally than initially. I had fat removed and repositioned. At least in my scenario, the remedy would only be fat grafting, which is unpredictable, filler under the eye, which is supposed to be more complicated and has its issues. Then I heard of this new prf ez gel, but it's so new not alot of information on it.

But how are you doing
I hope you Will be better . I can’t accept this result . My underlids seen worse then yours . And my doc says it’s not hollow it’s your muscle . He don’t explain me don’t think it’s a big problem . I don’t know if it hollow at the upper part ( he says he doesn’t touch the upper part ) or if the lower part swollen or to much fat , I read about biofiller . Did you hear about it
I want to know if it’s possible to repose the fat (I have still little bags ) to the upper part ? I’m hoping so much that it’s possible .
Hi, I also have similar problem, please DM me
fat grafting will not work, at least I didn't see any good result among tons of photos in reviews and scientific publications about it, fillers more predictable but same restrictions - it cannot be placed in septal area that we need. I've seen good examples in a 1989 book "Aesthetic Surgery of the Eyelids" by Raul Loeb, when he placed pearl fat grafts behind the orbital septum (to the same place from which fat was removed) and in the retired Dr. Meronk site (in web archive), but nobody seems to be doing it anymore.
I have the same issue. I have very Hollow eyes now. They make it sound like such a simple procedure when it's not. I also have a lot of tightness in my right eye still
If your hollow is low enough where the bone is (you can check it by cotton swab or something thinner than a finger), it can be corrected with a filler or at some risk with fat grafting (liquid). If it's higher, it sounds like you're like all of us in an unenviable position. I've been looking for over a year to correct this problem, I've looked at a lot of before-and-after photos, scientific publications and even some books on oculoplastic surgery: the only examples I've seen of how to solve this were in an old 1989 book by surgeon Raul Loeb - he put pearl fat grafts behind the orbital septum and you can see from the photos that it worked, the same technique was used by Dr. Meronk (his website can be found in the web archive), but it seems no one else is doing it anymore
