Left with bags under eyes - my upper eye is more hooded

I waited 2 months before writing my review to give my eyes enough time to heal. I hope this review will help others since it was hard to find any reviews on Dr. Ferhat. He had no website at the time of my surgery just his IG account with a large amount of followers. I will share all my experiences with you and pictures.

I already had previous surgeries in the US with Dr. Mascaro (Del Ray FL), Dr. Shah (Chicago, IL) Dr. Mascaro is amazing! I wanted to get my upper eye, lower eye (bags removed) and mid to corner brow lift. I contacted Dr. Mascaro and he was very busy and first available was in late December of 2021. I researched for a few doctors in Los Angeles and they were also very booked. I had a revision rhinoplasty done in Istanbul in Jan 2021 and it went well so I thought the same doctor could do my eyes. 

I contacted J++++ who is the translator concierge for this plastic surgeon in Turkey in mid March 2021. She told me the pricing and I also asked her if she represented other plastic surgeons which she said she did. She gave me a few doctors names and information. She recommended Dr. Ferhat because he only works on the face (nose, eyes, facelift, brows etc) I saw that he had great pics of noses but not eyes. I asked her if she had any and she sent me some. She only had a couple and told me he doesn't take pics of eye surgery but he does a lot of them. 

I went with Dr. Ferhat because I trusted her opinion and I didn't have to wait til December. So I was scheduled for May 14th for the surgery and have the stitches removed May 19th. I flew out on the 13th and landed in Istanbul on the 14th. When I landed Dr. Ferhat decided to change the surgery to the next day. So on the 15th I arrived at the hospital and met Dr Ferhat for the first time. This is when he told me he wouldn't removed the bags because they would cause my under eye to sink in. He said he would cut under the lash and pull it tight and the bags would disappear. Same thing for my upper eye and he would lift my brows from mid to end point creating a fox eye look. 

I was put under and awoke a couple hours later. I was a little groggy but they allowed me to go back to the hotel instead of staying overnight at the hospital. The next day they took pictures and Dr. Ferhat also posted this on this IG account. My eyes were bandaged and I had some small pin size marks on my upper eye brows. I also had some stitched near my upper temples and around upper mid skull. So overall at the point I thought I received upper/lower eyelid surgery and brow lift. 

On May 19th I went to his office to get his stitches removed but he actually didn't removed them he said to have them removed in another week. I was a little upset because they are the ones who told me to stay another 5 days to get my stitches removed. So I left the next day with my stitches in. As the days went my eyes were uneven and I had scars on the corner of my eyes. He kept telling me its fine and there is nothing wrong. It will heal and everything will be fine. I gave it a month and nothing has changed. He told me he would correct it and at this point he removed my image from his IG account. 

I told him I didn't want the person who botched my surgery to redo it again. I started to research for a revision surgery and went to a few doctors. I found out from a couple doctors that there was no brow lift surgery, he just placed threads. Also Dr. Ferhat placed botox on my forehead without even telling me, my eyebrow lift surgery was just botox and threads even though I paid for eyebrow lift surgery. So now after 2 months, I am still left with bags under my eyes, my upper eye is more hooded and I cant put eyeliner on like I use to. Plus I have terrible scars on the corner of my eyes and upper lid. 

Dr. Ferhat was nice when I met him and he was until the surgery. When I shared that he messed up on the surgery his response was he understood that the results given is not good enough and he would do touch ups needed. I didn't want the same person who left scars and disfigured my eyes to touch them again. Now I have asked for the surgery notes so I may take them to the new doctors but this has been also a challenge because he's upset I left a bad review about him. I didn't want to leave a bad review, I am only sharing my experience and outcome. I appreciate platforms like RealSelf so I can share this.
