I went to Dr Lo for an upper blepharoplasty. I was happy with my results overall, other than the scar being more visible that I would want closer to my medial canthus. But when the swelling went down, I noticed that I had an a frame deformity from the surgery, which I thought only happened if fat was removed. I had asked him before surgery and he said only skin was removed but when I asked about the indentation, he said happens in a lot of people and that we only removed a small amount of fat. The thing is, I was emphatic about NOT wanting to remove any fat, so it felt sort of like a violation of my goals and desires and then not telling me until I asked about it was really odd to me. I then asked him to try to correct the A frame deformity with filler, which he acted like he knew how to do and charged me $1000 for it, but he only put the filler in my eyelid crease, which just exacerbated the negative appearance of the scar and didn't help the A frame deformity. I ended up having to go to a doctor to specializes in that, and it's better but I really would have preferred to not have any fat removed. I would say the same for lower blepharoplasties too. All of the before and after's I've seen look much better with fat transposition like Dr Taban in LA and a few others. I think Dr Lo is fine for Tucson but if you really care about getting a good result, I would go elsewhere. I wish I would have gone to Taban or Dr Mascaro (even though I've heard mixed reviews about him). Their results speak for themselves.
