I've Recommended Dr. Dawes to Friends

WORTH IT
It's worth researching surgeons before proceeding with plastic surgery. I spent two years looking into procedures and methods, via podcasts and articles, and surgeons both in my area and in other places in Canada. I used RealSelf as part of the process. It was time well spent.
I consulted two Calgary surgeons, the second of which was Dr. Dawes. The first was very clearly not my person. The pushy sales tactics, outdated technique, and lack of empathy pushed me to keep looking. I'm glad I did and thankful to them for helping me to figure out exactly what I didn't want in someone who would work eventually work on my face. Their before and after photos didn't sit well with me either.
The time spent mulling over my options and humming and hawing over whether or not I should spend the money, take the risk, and go ahead with the surgery was way, way harder than the procedure itself. I find myself forgetting that I ever had the procedure done.
Dr. Dawes performed my upper blepharoplasty six months ago in June 2025. Since then, I've recommended him to close friends, one of which has since undergone surgery with him.
It's not all about the surgeon, though. The entire Dawes team (Amanda, Elaine, Laura, Tana, and Christy) made the process easy and stress free. They're genuinely friendly people who love their work (some have been working at the clinic for close to a decade).
Do you research. Take your time. Choose your surgeon wisely...and consider Dr. Dawes and his team for your procedure.
