I'm starting off w/3 stars until eyes are completely healed where i can see the final results, will adjust accordingly. I was scared of having the surgery w/Dr. Tenenbaum based on his negative reviews from various sites.
After our consultation i decided to proceed w/surgery after viewing his training and amount of surgeries he has performed. (then again training & experience are meaningless if doctor is careless)
I was looking to diminish wrinkles, address the puffiness and excess skin under my eye lids. I was told my expectations seem reasonable.
Here is my experience.
Week 1 Area is swollen w/lots of bruising and my eyes are extremely dry
I have 2 incisions, one is under my lower eyelash area and another on the side of my eyes, scars are deep w/ugly red bumps
Week 2 Lots of bruising and swelling under eyes w/an ugly scar by crows area, red bumps are looking better.
Week 3 The incisions on the side of my eyes are still very noticeable and larger than expected puffiness under lids are still there but then again that could be from the swelling.
Week 4 Bruises are fading hoping the same will happen w/the incision scar by crows area. Under eye area in place of puffiness there is a slight gap in between fine wrinkles (Not happy) Incision under my eyelashes seem to blend in (happy)
Dr Tenenbaum
Cons: Bedside manner could use some work, can be abrupt, impatient, does not demonstrate empathy and his aura doesn't exactly emit ease when one is anxious.
Pros: Excellent educational background and years of experience in surgical procedures.
Conclusion: Lower lids are less puffy, right eye wrinkles have reduced however left eye wrinkles are still very visible. Incisions on both side of my eyes are bigger than expected (told incisions would be smaller )
Overall if I get reasonable results w/no complications the surgery was a success I would then give him a 5 star and highly recommend him to everyone I know. Will keep you posted in about 2 weeks will provide before and after pictures of the results.

Lower eyelid surgery
AngelabourousMarch 8, 2019
Its been 5 weeks after my lower eyelid surgery, still have some bruising. I am not happy with my results. My concern was to diminish lower eyelid wrinkles and puffiness. Some of the puffiness went away but the wrinkles on my lower eyelid are still there. The crows feet area wrinkles have diminished somewhat. Now I not only have lower eye lid wrinkles but as an added bonus I have
ugly scars by crows area. The incision is slanted downward causing me to have a sad look (like a clown) I had my follow up thinking the doctor can address my concern. He was not interested
weather I was happy w/my results nor about the incision scar. I felt as if he was in a rush for me
to leave. I waited 20 min to see him for a 3 min follow up. Sad but it is all about the money.
End result I would not recommend this doctor for lower eyelid surgery. (Not sure if I would recommend
him for any surgery) If I could turn back the clock, I would hold off until I saved the money needed to go to a better surgeon. There is truth about the saying "You Get What You Pay" don't make the mistake I did and trust Dr. Noel Tenenbaum for your surgery. Yes his prices are great but DO NOT TRY AND SAVE MONEY at your own expense definitely not worth the sacrifice my eyes went thru nor the down time it took to heal for bad results. GOOD LUCK

Hi Angela! I viewed your photos post surgery and have read your concerns and observations. I wish a before picture was posted though. Also, I am not seeing the sad eyes look. I am not discounting your opinions, as you know your face. But, as a layman real self addict, seeing so many reviews here, I am wondering if you are still in the healing states. It appears that you very much are still healing and swelling. Also some here use some sort of surgical tape during healing on the outside corners of the eyes to oull them uowards while gealing. Mayve you can reach out to your doctor to ask whether you can do that safely. Sending positive thoughts your way hoping that your disillusionment shall pass when you have fully healed. :)
