Biggest Mistake of my Life

Title is not an exaggeration. I was left looking like a sad, scared skeleton, clown. Now looking back I should have known things would not turn out well. For some reason I felt I could trust Dr. Parfitt. However, Dr. Parfitt barely examined me before surgery. I had upper and lower surgery. My lower lids have been completely hollowed out. Skin was removed aggressively. I have some ectropion and my eyes are now always irritated. Upper eyelid surgery isn't a very difficult, but the shape of my lids is so terrible that the upper lid crease goes past my lower lid. Fat was removed from my upper lid which is something a good surgeon would throw caution at for a young patient. Less fat makes one look older and hollowed out. My eyelids turned out super uneven. After speaking with Dr. Parfitt about my concerns, I was told I looked old and haggish before surgery and just get botox to even out the lids. I cannot believe Dr. Parfitt has been practicing consistently for 30 years. I will say that my stitches on lower lids turned out ok, but I think the sutures used caused irritation. I am not sure if the stitching done on my upper lids was ideal now looking at how other surgeons do it. I have very defined creases for some reason.
