Greatly Improved my Tired Eyes!
I was sadly born with very, very tired looking eyes. Thanks to Mediterranean genes, the circles under eyes were extremely dark colored and also baggy, starting from a young age (17 years old). Makeup couldn't do much to conceal them. After years of being told I looked tired and depressed, I went and saw Dr. Hessler at the recommendation of Stanford University. She explained that the under eyelid area is one of the hardest to treat, and very difficult (if not impossible) to completely fix, and I appreciated her candor. She walked me through 2 options: temporary fillers to add volume to the area with PRP to stimulate collagen, or lower eyelid surgery with fat transfer and PRP. I was only 27 years old and the idea of surgery was kind of scary, so I opted for the fillers. Dr. Hessler cautioned me that the fillers usually only last 9 months or so, but I was pleasantly surprised when they lasted a bit over 2 years!
I came back at the age of 30, this time ready to do the surgery, so the results could be more permanent. The surgery itself was surprisingly easy. There was swelling and bruising for about a week, and I had to stay home and not work, just resting my eyes and putting on ice. But it wasn't painful at all. I was told no reading or watching TV, so I spent the week listening to great podcasts. At the three month post-op check in, my eye area was looking much improved, but still slightly discolored. We tried a PRP injection again, and that seemed to help a whole lot.
I've attached photos so you can see a before and after comparison. The after photo does have a tiny bit of makeup on because the discoloration isn't 100 percent gone (as expected), but at least makeup works now. Before, makeup wouldn't do much of anything.
Overall, I'm very happy with my results and will continue to see Dr. Hessler and her team for any other anti-aging work I decide to do in the future.

Beautiful! Thanks for the photos!
Looks great.
Can you tell me how she did the prp injection?

PRP was super simple! They withdraw a bit of blood from your arm, then spin the blood in a centrifuge for about 45 minutes. That separates out the red blood cells and they use the remainder for the injection. You might bruise from the injection. The first time I did, but the second time I didn't.
I need this too I hate my tired looking eyes how much was he eyelid surgery :)
U look great! may i ask the price and also how u feel about your results now ...post op several months later? I am really considering Dr Hessler, thank you!

Your results are great. So subtle but a huge difference. Thank you for sharing!
