Eyelid surgery for eye bags under local anesthesia - minor bruising & swelling

After debating for quite some time whether or not to proceed with having a blepharoplasty, I made a split second decision to do so early in May of 2022.
I chose Dr. Hugo Higa whom I have known for almost 20 years basing my decision upon his expertise and the cost of the procedure.
I scheduled my surgery for May 25th allocating myself a ten day absence from work in order to ensure adequate downtime to heal and recover.
I opted for an undereye blepharoplasty due to my desire to rid myself of unsightly eye bags and refresh my look.
The entire procedure took less than two hours and was performed with a local anesthetic. It was virtually painless with minor bruising and swelling that gradually subsided throughout the week afterwards.
All in all, I consider having decided to do this, at this point in my life, ultimately the right decision and would definitely deem the procedure to be a success. Basically, I was able to achieve the desired result I was hoping for and am therefore forever grateful to Dr. Hugo Higa for making this happen for me.
Additionally, he has an awesome team he works with that are welcoming, friendly and attentive to one's needs making the entire experience an effortless one and something you definitely want to tell your friends about.
I encourage anyone considering an oculoplastic procedure, in order to improve the way they look, to seek out the services of Dr. Hugo Higa. He is dedicated, affordable and guaranteed to provide you with awesome results.

My Undereye Blepharoplastic Procedure
I finally received photos of my procedure today and I'm posting them to my account. My procedure was performed this year on May 25th and I am pleased with the results. Having my eye bags removed has resulted in my looking years younger and has greatly boosted my self esteem.

Looks great! Was you incision on the outside of your lash line or did they go in from inside your eyelid ?

Hi and thank you for your comment. The incision was from the inside and the fat removed with a tiny scalpel. Very good surgeon. I am satisfied with the results. Made me feel so much younger.

Did the surgeon just remove the fat or reposition it? Also I apologize if you already mentioned but do you know if they removed any skin as well?

The fat was removed and not repositioned. I am not aware of any skin having been removed.

Additional Before Procedure Photo
I've added one additional photo from before the surgery. I thought it necessary in order to make my profile complete. This additional photo shows how puffy the bag under this eye actual is and how concerned I was about having it removed.

You look great what made you decide to go under local anesthesia. You were basically coherent and awake right?

Yes and thank you. The surgeon used a local anesthetic so I was awake throughout the entire procedure.
I was very self conscious about the bags and it was affecting my self esteem.
I would have to say, I feel so much better now and have more self confidence.
