More Images 01/05/2021
Here are a few more images of my eyes pre/post op from my surgery to add to my previous update. Dr. Ho’s new office is very clean, immaculate, and stylish. The office staff are much more organized compared to when she worked at Wave, and I really appreciate that. The actual surgery was prompt, and I like how I was given a sedative through my arm via shot vs. a ivy drip in my arm. I’m both excited and apprehensive for the end results. I’ll be getting my stitches taken out next week, and will post further updates.

Giving It Another Try
Another Update!
As aforementioned, I planned on visiting Dr. Ho again for her opinion on the current state of my eyes. When I met with Dr. Ho, I was feeling very apprehensive and nervous because I was afraid to be honest. It’s strange, but I felt some shame to be “that patient” who wasn’t satisfied with their results or possibly labeled as the type of patient who’s a perfectionist or that their desired results are unrealistic. Fortunately, my follow-up/consultation exceeded my expectations. Dr. Ho was very sweet and acknowledged some of the issues that I had with my lids. To summarize, she said that the scarring on the inner corner of my eyes was something that could be potentially improved upon and that she could excise the chalazion/stye in my eye. That was a few months ago, and fast forward today, I elected to have another revision.
Above are some pre-op images of my eyelids from today and how they looked immediately after surgery. I’m feeling very hopeful.

Getting A Second Opinion
I recently saw a different plastic surgeon and asked about my eyes and what his opinion of them were. We both agreed that my scarring was definitely noticeable and something that could possibly be improved upon.
He did mention that my eyes not being able to fully close may not be related to my surgery, rather a trait that I have where my eyes relax in such a way that they do not fully close when I sleep. Therefore, I feel the need to improve my overall rating from 2 to 3 stars.
I have an appointment with Dr. Ho in the near future and will provide an update to her opinion on the current state of my eyelids.
