Disappointing Results and Failed Revision
BeautyPursuitJanuary 25, 2026
Before my Sept 2023 surgery with Dr. Graw, I had never had any plastic surgery or injections. When I asked if my case was straightforward, she told me, “Oh, you’re a dream!” I felt misguided by her over-confidence and distracted by her "shining credentials"—her Harvard, Stanford, and other elite affiliations. Despite charging the highest fees among the four surgeons I consulted, her results were absolutely disappointing.
In addition to upper and lower eyelid procedures, I paid for a ptosis repair to create a wide-open, alert appearance. The repair was a failure; eight months later, my left eyelid became loose and half-closed. The revision in Sept 2024 was equally messy. I was left with a “significantly heavier” left eyelid, unnatural fold lines when smiling, deep scarring, a visible “bump” at the end of the right incision, and dark circles that were worse than before.
For two years, I trusted Dr. Graw and followed her instructions—including using a tool to massage my scars every day, which I later learned was useless, and unnecessary for a properly performed surgery. During this "forever" recovery, I looked strange, felt frustrated, and avoided social gatherings and photos.
I eventually consulted three other renowned surgeons regarding my eyes and other procedures. All three immediately identified the flaws in Dr. Graw’s work without me mentioning a single detail. Fortunately, one of these surgeons successfully fixed my eyes in Oct 2025. While I am finally happy with my results, I deeply regret choosing Dr. Graw. It was a three-year ordeal that wasted a significant amount of my time and money.
