Corrected Droopy Eyelids With Dr. Cheong, Malaysia

WORTH IT
With age, my upper eyelids started to sag, causing me to look tired and sleepy all the time. While I naturally had double eyelids, over time, the loose skin folded over and made me look “single eyelid”. I wanted a refreshed look and to address these issues, Dr. Cheong recommended an upper eyelid surgery called blepharoplasty to correct the droopiness and improve the symmetry between both eyelids. Dr. Cheong carefully explained the procedure and recovery to me. For Asian upper eyelid surgery, be prepared for a longer downtime of up to 10 days, and swelling can be visible up to 2 months, thanks to our thicker skin. Will I do it again? In a heartbeat, yes. I like that the results are permanent, long-lasting (unlike non-surgical upper eyelid procedures) and of course, Dr. Cheong has corrected the asymmetry I was born with.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I'm glad it was such a positive one with great results!

Thank you Cindy. Recovery can be psychologically challenging as the swelling was so obvious, but I'm glad it's all gone now :)
Great results.
Thank you Sharon :)
I like the results of your post surgery. Mind sharing more info. I will have to travel from Singapore to KL. When did u exactly did yours and how long to get the 3rd pic results
Hi, may i ask how long it takes for the swelling to go down and see the final result ?. Thanks in advance.
Hello Grace, sorry for this late reply. To get to the 3rd pix took me about 3 1/2 months. Just be patient with upper blepharoplasty for ptosis correction as healing takes a longer time compared to a simple double eyelid procedure. To camouflage the swelling, I wore thicker rimmed glasses.
Hello, I am now 6-months post-op and my eyelids look more natural. My swelling went down progressively. I was told that it can take up to a year. But at the 6-months mark, selfies look great. I'm back to wearing contacts and the incision is barely visible. I had ups and downs emotional recovering, because of the swelling. But when you reach your 3-month mark and you look back, it becomes all worth it.
