Conservative Upper Blepharoplasty

I had an upper blepharoplasty with Mr Ataullah at Face & Eye Clinic in Northenden, Manchester. I first went to him because he is an oculoplastic surgeon, so I felt I'd be in safe hands (and I was!). His initial consultation was thorough and considered my eye health and anatomy as well as my concerns with excess lid skin. I did have another consultation elsewhere with someone who wasn't an oculoplastic surgeon, and I noticed they weren't anywhere near as thorough as Mr Ataullah was. By that, I mean they had a quick look at my eyes, agreed there was excess skin, and said they could do the surgery. In comparison, Mr Ataullah examined my eyes, the surrounding skin and muscle, and checked my eyesight, then followed it all up with a written letter detailing his observations.

We had further consultations to answer extra questions I had, and he was extremely informative and helpful throughout. I appreciated that he talked me through all my options and helped me decide on a treatment that would suit me. After discussing multiple options, we decided on a conservative procedure, because I'm in my mid 20s, to preserve as much tissue as possible, which was a decision I was very happy with.

I was really well looked after every step of the way, by all the staff at Face & Eye Clinic, including during the procedure itself (which was very smooth), and the aftercare has been phenomenal, with contact over email, phone and several in person follow up appointments. Everything went easily and healed well, with minimal scarring. I'm thoroughly pleased with the end result.
