Best Most Caring Occuplastic Surgeon EVER!

WORTH IT$12,000
Where do I even begin... Dr. Massry is family. He literally treated me like I was his own family member. I went to Dr. Massry originally because I wanted my mom to get a revision blepharoplasty for a procedure she got about 10 years ago that made her miserable. Bless her heart she did not do her research and she paid for a botched job that literally scarred her. My mom lives mostly abroad but I insisted she get a consult with Dr. Massry after I did my extensive research and found him to be the best... IN THE WORLD. I am myself a medical professional so I know the value of have a surgeon that is actually board certified in Occuloplastics. . He does not do any other type of surgery except occuloplastics and midface lifts. He doesn't do neck lifts, full face lifts, pretty much anything below the zygomatic arches. He is a perfectionist a and exactly who I wanted my sweet mother to see.
I took her in for a long awaited consultation (Almost 3 months) and I decided that since we were coming from the bay area, that I might as well get a consultation for under eyelid fillers too (Why not?) Dr. Massry greeted us with a great big smile and gave us both ample time as he examined us. He was honest with my mother and gave her a tailored approach on his gameplan. Basically she needed an revision blepharoplasty, a ptosis repair, and a coronal brow lift. He was honest and told her that there would be a substantial scan on her hairline that would fade away with time. I really appreciated his honesty and really trusted his judgement. Since my mother flies in and out of the country every 6 months, we decided to wait till maybe the next time for her surgery because she had other non cosmetic medical issues that she needed to address as well.
I Had my consultation with him and immediately felt as if my own family member were taking care of me. He did an amazing job on the under eye fillers with no bruising whatsoever! I asked him what he thought of my sagging eyelids. " A little bit of history: My mother, auntie, and grandmother all had ptosis and all had upper eyelid sagging skin to the point where they all had an upper eyelid blephroplasty in their mid 50's".
I didn't want to wait until my eyelids sagged on my eyes to the point where I couldn't see, I decided to do something about it NOW. I am 40 years old and I take very good care of myself. Why not I asked myself? It's my face, it's what I present to the world. I am not going to trust my face with just anyone.. He/She needs to be an expert, and I was blessed to find him!
Fast forward 4 Months later (Yes he books out 4 months) and I had my surgery about 4 weeks ago. My mom was not with me and I was in Los Angeles by myself staying with a friend. I had a Ptosis repair, an upper eyelid Blepharoplasty, and an endoscopic lateral brow lift. The whole procedure took about 2 hours. I did go under general anesthesia because of the brow lift.
I woke up a little woozy, and my friend picked me up and we went straight home. I ate a whole kabob that first night. Yes it was uncomfortable but it was not painful. I had a rhino/septoplasty before and THAT was PAINFUL. Dr. Massry called me that night and asked me how I was. He gave me his personal phone number and told me to call him if I needed ANYTHING. That kind of bedside manner really goes a long way, especially since my friend had to go back up to the bay area the next day and I was alone.
Because he did a Ptosis repair, he had me wear protective contact lenses so I stay comfortable during my recovery. He took them out on my post-op "7 days later" along with the sutures. I was a bit swollen, so he prescribed a course of prednisone that I took over a week. He then fit me in for a second post op. I was healing appropriately and he assured me that everything was ok and that I could on on back to the bay and be back to work (2 Weeks total).
I still felt a little bit swollen and my eyes felt very dry and scratchy (Like there was sand in them). I called his office and he immediately got back to me and told me to get Gel lubricant eye drops over the counter and put them in my eyes right before I go to bed. It helped tremendously!!
I am about 4 weeks post op. I am still a bit swollen and a bit red, but no one could tell that I had anything done. I just look refreshed and that was exactly the goal I had in my mind. Not only am I impressed by the precision and the skill of this artistic surgeon, but I cannot express my gratitude towards him for his excellent bedside manner. I was scared and alone and he made me feel that he was available to me 24/7, even if I was in NorCal. It's very seldom that I meet Surgeons with his skill level that do not have God Syndrome, let alone and exceptional bedside manner.
Thank you Dr. Massry. You are one of a kind and a pioneer in your field. You are simply the BEST!!
