Upper blepharoplasty enhanced with an internal browpexy - perfectly-done!

I am 51 and my first blepharoplasty had been at age 27. It was time for a refreshment of not-horribly hooded lids and some reinforcement of an endoscopic brow lift done back at age 32. So I traveled to London (as I live in another country) for eye surgery with Caroline Wilde, an occuloplastic surgeon who works closely with the renowned Daniel Ezra. It was imperative to me that a) I work with an eye specialist who lives, breathes and works only with eyes and b) that I could maintain all the fat in my lids (often during blepharoplasty fat can be excised depending on preferences). I felt my fat gave my lids a youthful convex reflection of light, as well as "character." Caroline and I agreed on this, and to do a very elegant and subtle fix on the hooding, leaving the crease in a very similar, lower place like in my past photos of me as a younger woman. We also agreed that she would create a crease that was slightly "catlike" and was ever-so-slightly wider at the outer edges, which has given me a beautiful new canvas for eye shadow effects. We also decided to enhance/shore up the blepharoplasty with an internal browpexy. The browpexy offers a very subtle lifting at outer edge of the brow, as I was already pretty well supported in that regard, by the past brow lift. I also opted to refresh my eye area botox during the surgery. She executed all of this perfectly, and with great communication and kindness. The surgery itself (done with local anesthesia and a sleepy drug) was the most painless operation and recovery I've ever experienced. The staff in the clinic were delightful; there were clear instructions on everything, and I felt pampered with a lovely meal provided by them afterward with unlimited time given to be up and about and go home the same day. Within two months the scars have vastly disappeared. I'm treating them with a very high quality silicone scar gel. I've had no complications. This was a perfectly-done, extremely elegant procedure which came as a result of Ms. Wilde's talent as a surgeon but also her capacity for clear communications with her patients. Love her!
