I had a transcutaneous lower bleph with canthopexy that left me with permanent scars in my outer corner of eyes and eyelid retraction.
I wish I would have done the transconjunctival method to avoid the likelihood of this..
mind you I’m two and a half weeks post-op but the trauma wasn’t worth it for me. Eyelid retraction may not resolve with time. Other doctors have explained that it’s a possibility i may need a revision to fix the retraction. the shape of my eye may not be the same again. Its been a rough recovery on me mentally. I can’t look into the mirror without crying.
I highly recommend getting a lower bleph with a oculoplastic surgeon who specializes in the eye and can avoid things like this.
Hopefully, I could come back in a couple months and update with significant improvement.
