Very Bad Experience

Very Bad Experience

Very Bad. I went to have my eyelid skin removed so they would not be saggy and was told I had ptosis - I had my eyes checked with the optometrist who could not find any signs of ptosis had I gave the report to David. He disregarded this report and said he would make my eyes look amazing by lifting my eyelids instead of just cutting off the saggy skin. I trusted him but shouldn't have. I had the surgery, thinking that I would come out still having my full sight. I was sent home straight after the surgery and the following day there was something wrong. I tried to call David but he was not available. I sent photos and they were ignored. I was told to wait till my follow up appointment a week later. The stitches in my left eye had not held they were broken so my eye could not heal and was swollen and looked disgusting. I was so depressed - I was completely ignored for after surgery even though I reached out to all the contact numbers that I had. When I arrived at my week later appointment David was very apologetic and had to do another emergency surgery, at no cost to me, as he knew he stuffed up. My Right eye was opened too much and this was also very disappointing as my eyes looked very uneven. I went into surgery with 2 proportional eyes wanting the skin only removed and came out totally out of proportion and in pain and very depressed. The second surgery was also unsuccessful. He told me he wanted to discuss with his colleagues as he did not know what happened. He obviously did not have the skill to do this operation and lied to me. My eye was swollen and sore for months. I had to go to another eye surgeon, Prof. Alen McNab, to have repair surgery as David had made a real mess of my eye, so much so that it was not able to repaired to full restoration. I cannot see properly still now, my eye is always blurry I have constant pain and have lost 30% of sight as I cannot lift my eyelid to fully open. I would not recommend his services. Get another opinion and go somewhere else. I tried to put in an insurance claim with his insurance and they are very difficult to deal with and don't want to pay for the damages. So be warned. It is 2 years after my surgery and I am still waiting for his insurance to compensate me but they keep asking for more reports. What is the point of having insurance to cover this type of stuff up if they are not going to compensate the damages that have been done.
