Amazing Amazing Doctor but Terrible Clinic
WORTH IT$2,000
I had Eyelid, surgery today, June 19, 2025 with DR. MARK A. SCHUSTERMAN.
The doctor was fantastic, amazing a truly professional in his field. I am beyond satisfied with his work, his guidance because I was sold to having lower eyelid surgery and I did NOT need it. and he agreed that I did not need it so I’m grateful for his honesty.
The surgical coordinator immediately adjusted my quote to only upper eyelid surgery. I wish I could rate the clinic from the doctor separately but unfortunately I can’t.
The doctor gets a five out of five. I live in Miami and I’ve had two procedures before this. This will be my 3rd one at different clinics and not even once I saw a doctor after the surgery nor heard their voice on the phone follow up visits nothing literally the doctor just disappeared.
doctor SCHUSTERMAN. took the time to go and see me after surgery to ask me how I was feeling and I was in absolute shock such a gentleman.
He also told the nurse to clean me up because I was leaking. I guess I look like a mess but she actually didn’t on the spot. I had to wait and that’s how my review for the clinic starts.
The clinic is a disaster beyond disorganization at its maximum point. It is a huge dissapointment because they actually have fantastic doctors working there. I get called on my preop the day before which I go on time as usual. I am an on-time person. I was told so many times to be on time that I was so annoying to me however, they don’t know me. They don’t know I’m actually a punctual person..
I was there and the preop all went well fast-forward to the end of the preop I’m told that I was going to get an email from 5 to 6pm with my surgery time which I found it odd to have that type of information so late anyway, so I went with it and I waited.
It was 8:30 PM and I hadn’t received nothing zero. I start calling and emailing them like crazy. Finally someone answers and guess what they forgot to schedule me for surgery seriously they forgot it’s like I never went there. This lady that’s on the phone with me freaking out and she’s like I’ll call the doctor which I don’t think it’s a doctor‘s fault at all, he’s the artist that’s why people around him do the leg work so finally someone said that I could go at 3 PM which of course it’s way too late for me because I have planned my entire surgery two weeks in the advance and the person pickinh me up. Couldn’t pick me up at that time so they moved me to 1 PM. Well they actually squeezed me in at 1 PM.
I was tempted to cancel the whole surgery just because I didn’t feel comfortable that they weren’t ready for me. I think it’s a logical feeling right? well I didn’t just because I knew the doctor was just amazing and I was not gonna lose my spot. when I get there, I’m told I’m having a different type of anesthesia that I was told at the preop again no communication nobody told me anyways I finally leave the clinic and again. I’m being told that I will get an email with a mandatory follow up visit for tomorrow funny part is that they gave that to me in a sheet of paper with bold caps letters saying it’s mandator. Guess whaf 12:11 at night Miami time and I have not received the email so I have no idea what time is my mandatory follow up.
so that was my experience at this clinic. The clinic is terrible, but the doctor amazing and unfortunately I’m just going to have to stick with them because I have a upcoming facelift with the same doctor and a Lipo 360 with Dr. Luster. which is also a fantastic doctor. maybe when they read this review their general manager can take action and improve their logistics when it comes to surgery scheduling and customer service overall. I will get 4 emails fr different people asking the same info.. Sorry for the long, detailed story, but I think it’s important for other people doing research on their procedures to know the the truth so I can help them make a decision.
