My undereye bags have bothered me for years. People would tell me DAILY how tired I look. I got used to sarcastically saying "Thanks! That's what I was going for" so they would realize how rude it was.
I started doing research on Boston-area plastic surgeon lower blepharoplasty results and reviews. I came upon this profile. Him being an oculoplastic surgeon stood out. Not only were his before and after pictures amazing. The fact that he specializes in eyes and isn't hopping from face to boobs to butts was reassuring. I knew this was the expert to go to.
This being my first plastic surgery, I was mildly nervous going into the consult. But that started to dissipate as soon as I walked in the door. The ladies at reception were very friendly and made me feel comfortable immediately.
Dr. Kapadia assessed me and made a game plan for a bilateral lower blepharoplasty. I then sat down with Jessica, the office manager. She laid out pricing and the logistics of the procedure day. I was already positive going in about moving forward with surgery. But at no point did I feel pressured to make a decision. At my consult in Feb, I paid the $500 deposit needed to book a surgery date. As in demand as Dr. Kapadia is, his next available surgery slot wasn't until June. I snapped it right up. The remaining $6000 was due 4 weeks before the procedure.
The surgery day was seamless. I was taken downstairs to the in-office surgical suite (so convenient not having to go to a hospital). My appt was at 9:30am. I was home by 12:30pm! I couldn't believe it.
I had "stay in the house"-level swelling for about 1.5 weeks. The bruising lasted a month or so. I would def recommend having a full coverage concealer on hand.
Conclusively, there aren't enough words to express my gratitude to Dr. Kapadia and his staff. I have not been told I look tired since! If you are in need of a blepharoplasty, look no further!
