About 4 months post laser treatment #2
WORTH IT$800
I am about 4 months out from my second laser treatment! I have had great results but have been left with some yellow! It is easy to cover with just a little concealer and then I add a little pencil or benefit wow brow! I would like to have another session ideally but I am going to wait quite a while. I don’t plan on having anymore until after the new year and I hope for more fading. There is hope. Even though the yellow is not the greatest situation and I am still self conscious about it, it is a far way from where I came. I am happy again. :)

Seven days post treatment #2
Well today is a week since my second treatment with PicoSure. The red is gone but now it is yellow, which I was fully expecting. The yellow isn’t too bad and I can cover with light makeup fairly easily. The test spot which has been treated 3 times now looks like it is still yellow, now it looks more or a lighter/brighter yellow than a deeper yellow- if that makes sense. However the test spot is harder to see unless you are seriously looking for it and up close and personal. I will see how it heals in the next couple of weeks. I am unsure about doing another treatment (and spending $800) if the yellow will remain. Like I mentioned last time my provider is aggressive and I had to sit home for about 3-4 days due to the bruising/scabbing. However, it only really bruised on the eyebrow that had more ink! I am going to post picture and will keep y’all updated!

Wow Plucky, for me seems a big improvement, even though I fully understand that we all are looking forward to get rid of the ink, the yellowish seems better than the red! My doctor was kind of negative, he even asked me if I don’t want to wait longer to see how much more the red will fade, he used different settings during the test spot and one turned kind of green, but I think will look better than this bright red! I will see after my second treatment on Saturday if I will go ahead for a third one or let time and patience fade it! Big hug girl and cheer up
Thank you! I am sorry your provider was kind of negative. I def think you should go for treatment #2 and not wait for fading! I am looking forward to your second treatment and wish you the best!!
Hello pioneer! How did your 2nd treatment go on Saturday? Hope you are doing well! Xxxx
Thanks for asking Plucky! I'm really happy with it, almost all the red is gone, I had few red spots and some brownish one but is a huge improvement and I'm expecting it to fade but will see!
Good to hear, Fpioneer! Hope you post some updated photos. Using the correct wavelengths for red and brown makes all the difference. I go back for my next session in 8 days (next Tuesday). Getting a wee bit anxious again, but I do think I'm headed in the right direction and hopeful that this will be done in 1 or 2 more sessions.
That is great! So happy for you! Please post pics so I can see your progress!
WOW!!!!!! Plucky, that looks so much better! I see what you are saying about the yellow, but it's a huge improvement over that dreaded red. I'm hoping with my next/4th treatment on 07/30 to be at the same stage as you. With my third treatment, the red was diminished, but the fronts and tails turned faint brown/gray with slight yellow edges. I've read about the dreaded oxidation and pray they don't go darker with my next session. A lighter yellow would be coverable with makeup I think. Then wondering if time will fade the yellow??? I have a couple weeks until my next treatment, and that anxious feeling is building yet again.
Thank you so much! It makes me feel better when I see others noting the progress! I really don’t think you will have a problem with oxidation since it has already been treated with both wavelengths. Do you think maybe it is just a little more black color that was left over and was maybe being hid by the red? Have you experienced any more fading since your treatment? I don’t remember there being yellow! I do think that the yellow will completely fade away with time- but who knows how long! I do think it is possible that it would take years to fade away. But that is better than nothing! I am looking forward to your next treatment!
I think (or hope) maybe the brown/gray was just being hidden by the red that the 755nm produced. I think there might be very slight fading since my last photo update, but not significant, and I do see a wee little yellow around the edges, so I'm thinking the yellow is coming next for me (lol). Even if the faint yellow takes years to fade, having hope that I will one day be back to MY normal face is encouraging.
I think that's a great result, Plucky! You've made such progress in such a short space of time. All credit to you for just going for it! Hope you get a bit more fading over the next few weeks.
Thank you so much! Something it is hard to acknowledge how far you have come when you were hoping for better results, but seeing everyone’s encouragement makes me feel better! I am def hoping for more fading! :)

Update- I go for my second treatment next week
Figured I would post an update! The brows haven’t faded anymore and kinda are a darker red in some places. The initial test spot that was treated with both wavelengths is now a yellow tinge. I am pretty disheartened that it is yellow and hope that it is not too noticeable once my whole brow is done. I have seen other posts where people are stuck with yellow after many many treatments and it won’t budge.

thanks for the update. Even without much additional fading they still look great for only being treated once. I know what you mean about the thought of being left with yellow - have you talked to your laser person about this possibility and what the next step would be? At least you know you are being treated by someone who knows their stuff, seeing as he's a trainer. You seem to have slightly sallow skin so a hint of yellow won't be too hard to cover up if it comes to it, and can't imagine it being too strong/solid looking as the red/pink isn't. I've got everything crossed for your next appt - best of luck!
Thank you so much! I haven’t told my provider about the yellow! I guess I figure I am going to do another treatment if it turns yellow or not! Thanks for the kind words! Are are you doing? I saw you are getting laser as well!
I have had 2 laser sessions over the past year but I am holding off on doing another at the moment as I am not in the mood for the "worse before it gets better" phase! Good luck with your appt tomorrow!
They do look the same kind of red that I had after my first treatment. Definitely going in the right direction. I'll be thinking about you during your next treatment and look forward to your next update.
Thank you! It is on July 3rd! I am getting more nervous as it gets closer!
With each treatment, I've gotten that nervous feeling too and then an immediate feeling of relief and optimism as I drive home (I'm sure there is some psychological term for that). I just hope that with each treatment we continue in the right direction. I want to believe there is a positive ending (complete removal) to all this even if it does take a little while to get there. I'll be thinking of you on the 3rd Plucky and look forward to your updates as well.
Plucky I think they look grey and anything will look better than what we had before! I think we have to take it easy and remember that with time the ink will fade. I wish you all the best in the next appointment!
I meant to write great not grey!
Thinking about you today, Plucky. :-)
Thank you Marylandmom! Treatment went well just really bruised! I can see some yellow under bruising. He went out the test spot again so can’t wait to see how that turns out! Will post an update once some of the bruising subsides!
Heading in the right direction it seems. Glad all went well. :-)
Hi Plucky! Hope all went well in your second treatment. Big hug
Thank you fpioneer! The treatment went well! It looks like the red is gone and can see some yellow coming through some of the bruising. I again am really really bruised so it will be a few days until I can see what is really going on! Trying to stay positive! He went over the test spot that was yellow again, so I can’t wait to see how it is going to turn out! I will post an update once some of the bruising goes away!
I’m so glad that the red is all gone! I think that from now on it can just get better, and looking forward for your updated photos! I’m having my second treatment with PicoSure 532nm this Saturday, all I want is the bright red to be all gone, fingers crossed! Big hug and keep up the positive attitude!
