7 mo post op and doing great

WORTH IT
It has been 7 months after surgery. I feel completely back to normal. No complications or uneven areas. Very happy with results. Dr. Caplin did great job. Since then had fillers in the corners of mouth and a little in lips, Botox around eyes.

Just wanted to add that my L eye always looked a little different from R.
You look GREAT ! Thanks for sharing pics. Some post their story in words, and no pics. Pics help better interpret that persons journey ! Slainte' ! Cheers !
I had my upper and lower eyes done too in July and I’m not to happy about the bottoms, but they still are sore and I feel he left a hard stitch still in there, my upper s look good. I paid 7,800!!!! What did you pay and are your eyes still a little sore?
Sorry to hear you have problems. Didn’t have upper lids done. Just lower and without stitches. After about 3 months I didn’t have much discomfort. I can tell it took good 9 months for everything to settle down to normal. I had also few other things done at the same time, so price will not be comparing apples to apples. Hope your final results will be good
ORIGINAL POST

Would recommend Dr. Caplin without any reservations.

I am 52 and for the last 10 years my under eyes bags were gradually getting worse. I finally got tired of looking tired, vanishing from pictures because I simply couldn’t get one good enough. Plus cheeks losing volume, mouth corners going south. I knew I would do something. TG I met Dr. Caplin’s former patient and saw first hand amazing results. Rest is the history. I had a great tune up: lower blepharoplasty, fat transfer to cheeks, Lipo under chin. Dr. Caplin did very good job. I didn’t want any drastic changes. Look less tired, younger. He did exactly that.

My surgery was on August 7. It went very well, I was on my way home in couple of hours. Pain was minimal. I was more aggravated with under chin wrap than pain lol. No sutures was so great. I had eyes irritation for 2-3 weeks as expected. No problems afterwards. Lower lids are even, looking natural. I had darkness around eyes, but it’s disappearing gradually. Cheeks were puffy, but it’s settling down nicely. I am almost 4 months after surgery and now it’s definitely looking back to normal. I noticed it’s the most common question how long it takes to heal. Please, save your worries for something else.

All stories about looking great after 2 weeks, can’t imagine that. First 2 days were the worst. Initial bruising and healing was most noticeably improving first 2 weeks. After that it was very slow process. 3 months minimum just like Dr. Caplin told me. I am glad I did it way before all major holidays. Yes, I was back to work in 8 days. Did I look great? No. But it didn’t matter. My best jokes now. I like to say words from song from Grinch movie: My world is changing, I’m rearranging (he he). And that my secret to look younger is “all home grown, organic “. Well, my fat in my cheeks is all home grown and organic :))

So, I am happy with results. Would recommend Dr. Caplin without any reservations.

You look great.
I second that. You look beautiful, rested, and refreshed. Enjoy it for many many years to come. I have a consult for a lower bleph in April. I totally understand your exact feelings of looking in the mirror seeing bags. I plan on getting rid of mine soon :)
Thank you so much. I am so glad I got nerves to do it. Good luck to you. You will be in good hands
how much $ for just lower bleph?
Surgery $3,000. Operating room and anesthesia charge from facility $2,700
was this general anesthesia or local ?
General
Did you have transconjunctival or regular lower blepharoplasty? You look great!
Thanks. Yes, transconjunctival. Very happy didn’t need any skin incisions and sutures.
