I Was Disfigured.
GailfioreApril 17, 2024
During the period from April through August 2022, I received cosmetic treatments for my upper thighs (Exilis to tighten skin) and face ( Halo and Ultherapy to reduce frown lines and produce collagen) at Aesthetic Plastic Surgery of Pittsburgh, LLC – which is owned and operated by Dr. Marc D. Liang. Unfortunately, instead of being enhanced, I was seriously disfigured.
On October 18, 2022, I met with Dr. Liang and he examined the adverse effects. Although he said he would fix the problems, he never responded to my numerous follow-up phone calls and voicemails. As a result, I sought a second and third opinion from two other highly reputed plastic surgeons in the Pittsburgh area. Both of the other plastic surgeons informed me that the procedures I received from Dr. Liang’s staff were inappropriate and would never bring about the improvements I had sought (Need I say they were very pricey?).
I was finally scheduled to meet with Dr. Liang in July of 2023. When I arrived for that meeting, I was informed that Dr. Liang was unavailable – and that I would instead be meeting with his Office Manager. Although she was hostile and rude, she did agree to send me a check after I provided her with a list of the recommended treatments I had received from the other two plastic surgeons.
Of course, I never received the promised check. And, when I, once again, contacted Dr. Liang’s office numerous times, I received no response whatsoever – making it clear to me that Dr. Liang does not take responsibility for the services that are provided by his staff.
My identity as a woman and as a professional has been damaged by these events. I would like to hear from other individuals who had similar experiences with Dr. Liang and his staff.
