2 weeks post op, feeling better every day
I am 2 weeks today post op. It feels like a month though. The healing has gone well, with no problems, but for me it has been the inactivity that has crippled me. I am a very active person, I swim every day, and generally have a busy life. Sitting in bed, doing nothing has been the hardest part. It has also made me grizzly, as my hubby calls it, frustrated, fed up, and ungrateful. In my mind I have another 2 weeks like this, but I am improving everyday. I still wear my binder 24 hours a day, and I am standing up straight, which to be honest, I was at day 2. After a couple of hours up and about I seem to swell, so an hour lying flat helps the swelling go down, so I am up and down all day. I am still sleeping propped up in a reclining position. I did think that would be a difficult part of this process as I sleep on my side, but it's fine and I sleep well. The scars around my ears are still very lumpy, but. Have seen some poor scars on here that look fine after a few months, so I'm hopeful they will improve. I also have some puckering on my left cheek, but I keep massaging it, and the swelling and numbness around the edge of my face is improving, which helps the cheek. My PS says it's fine. I have been able to wash my hair, but bent over the bath, as I still can't shower. My tt wound is still taped up, so I don't know what that is like, but I am seeing the nurse tomorrow, so I will get a look then. I am hoping that it will stay uncovered, and I can shower and maybe get in the pool? That might be pushing it at this stage.
Day 9 post op
All is going well. I'm still sore across my tummy, and still a little numb and puckered in my face, but feel like I'm progressing. Yesterday I had a follow up with both surgeons, and both were happy. I had the stitch out in my upper eyelid, and also under my chin. I had the scar redressed across my tummy, and the bandage off my belly button. Very pleased with my flat tummy. The doctor gave me the go ahead to get up and gently potter around. I have spent most of the the last seven days in bed. By the end of the day I was pretty sore and swollen though. I will try to be more gentle on myself today. I'm still wearing the binder.
My face is starting to look like my younger self might be in there ready to come out. Still have some swelling down the sides of my face, around the stitches and jawline. I also have some slight puckering on my left side, but dr Oliver tells me this will improve and go. I am super happy with the neck lift.
I also saw the lovely aesthetics nurse Tracey at Exeter Medical yesterday, she will do the Botox and filler. She advised to give it a few more weeks before I resume Botox in my brow.

Day 3 post op,
I'm now at home, day 3 after surgery. I'm still feeling great in myself. I slept all night with my head elevated with no problem. I am only taking paracetamols and codeine at bed time. The most discomfort is from the swelling in my face. My tummy has completely settled down, and is still bandaged and I have a compression garment on. My face feels very tight. Yesterday before the bandage came off I thought it was too tight, it's my face that is tight. I have been reading on here it is normal and will settle down, so just have to wait. My neck is also very tight, but what a result!, over the moon with how great that looks already.
