WORTH IT
My first implants were in 74 when I had silicone put in in Newport Beach CA. They incapsulated right after I had them done. Tight. 1 was redone. I lived in continual pain until I finally had them redone in 1998. Supposedly the capsules were removed and then saline were put in. Again in about a year they incapsulated. I had contact pain in my back, shoulders neck and even pulling at my jaw line. In 2008 I had the left one rupture and it went to normal breat size almost over night. The pain was better since it ruptured. But now the pain worsened if that was possible on the right side. I guess it was from the right side being hard like a rock. Sleeping was hard.
Brain fog is terrible and numbness all down my right side. The pain is beyond defining. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. It is a pain that can't be described unless you have felt it.
I went to the PS , a new one for a consultation. I had a mammograms and ultra sound. It showed silicone still in my left breast, ruptured implant, and cysts inside my breast. The new PS is going to remove them July 10th.
I am counting down the days. I am so sorry I let vanity cause me pain for almost all of my life.I get severe headaches. My shoulder blade has a lump from the tension in my back. I can't sleep on either side. I sleep very little every night. I have to take catnaps during the day to function.
the last year I have such brain fog I am worried. I hope my journey helps some one. In 36 days they come out. I hope I don't look hideous but at this point I want my health.
This sight has really helped me.
Breast implant illness does exist. I am living proof. If anyone has questions or comments I welcome them. I am excited and scared all wrapped up in 1.

Thanks Tired again for your support. I just read your review and I'm so sorry about all the pain that you have been through. I've been sick as well for some time. It is sad and frustrating to think about what we've done for the sake of vanity. We had no idea of the price that we would have to pay in so many ways! Soon you'll have them out and you will begin immediately to feel better! You'll start a new healthy chapter to your life.

Yes we will be new ladies. Hope my energy and all comes back. I surely have meet nice ladies on here. I hope brain fog goes away. It may take some time. It is debilitating. I am outgoing, happy type A personality. Love dogs and people and am sorry I don't have much energy. It will come back. I went bra shopping for after explant but need to go online. Calling Macom tomorrow. Think it's best to go with them, good night Meecro. More tomorrow. Have a great night.

I am right there with ya! I am waiting for news from insurance (weeks)... had a bad lumpectomy in my 20's, now 63, still want to look like a girl... hope things go well for you. Nervous here.

I am on medicare. The surgeon thinks I will be covered. I am not so sure. I won't know till after the surgery. Right now I just want to be pain free,and feel good again.

Wow, I think they should have fast-tracked you for surgery looking at the amount pain etc you are in.

Well I am in a small town, lol. I had no way to get to the big city. I have been in pain for so long it doesn't seem far. I am going to call and see if the have a cancellation

I am scheduled for removal on July 5, also 67 and having saline since 96. I also am scared but think that these implants contribute to some of my auto immune system. Anybody out there who had theirs removed and can share their experience?

We'll I am 35 days out from the explant. I am deep cleaning my house. So exhausted I do small amounts every day. Trying to keep busy and occupy my mind. Cleaning drawers, organizing and resting.
If anyone has tips about how long with overs removed and capsules that I will be really down any advice is greatly appreciated.
MY PS said 2 weeks, of nothing. Seems like some gals are up way before that.
I don't want to injure myself but hate the thought of sitting.

I can't believe till I took these pictures how lopsided I am. I honestly don't think after the explant I can look much worse. I am counting the days till I leave the pain behind, I hope.

Thanks Christine my ruptured breast is hurting and pulling today. I know I will not look great after explant but feel if the pain is gone it will be worth it. I have been in pain for vanity sakes for about 40 years. The last few years has been the worst. When I ruptured it was in 2008 or 2009. I wear the Jeanie type bra so the cups fit. I will be on this sight alot in the next 35 days,
My Dr. Did say he would wrap me and put a bra of mine over. I think I am going to order the Macom bra. Any suggestions?

Hi Nancy, my PS didn't mention anything about bras at all to me. I feel a bit in the dark, but I guess I will find out more on Thursday morning. :)x

They told me just bring in any bra that buttons in the front. I want one of the surgical bras I think. Will be on tomorrow. Just think you're almost there. 1 day then your home free.

Thanks Nancy. Surgery time is at 3.30 pm on Thursday. I will keep you posted when I can. I am going to ask the nurses to take photos of the steps as they go. Not sure if they will do it or me or not. But I can only ask. I will see if I can put my phone in a glad bag and hey can snap away :) x

Thursday will be here before you know it. Then your back will have some relief. My right side including my leg is acting up so it's 630 am. Got up. I groom dogs part time, so am doing 2 today. This really uses my arms. I will take a month off.
Get rest today. Bet the nurses take care of you and will snap a pic. I will talk to you later. Eat healthy and it's going to be great to get them out.

Thanks Nancy:) I I'll need the pep talk, surgery is not till 3.30 pm, if there is no hold ups. So I have all day to worry about it... lol.... i somehow think I might stay in the extra night if I don't feel up to going home. I am a sook but I will just see what happens. YEA! I ordered to Macom bras today, the signature ones. They were expensive for sure. But they look comfortable. The PS said he will put me in compression bandages so just bring a front opening bra. I hope they fit. I got the extra large it's the biggest they carry. I wear a 2x usually. We will see.
34 days and the heavy load is out of here. My side is so numb on my right arm and shoulder.
The left side just hurts a little. It is encapsulated and ruptured.they both pull, it is hard to explain. Very uncomfortable.
I appreciate and advice you ladies can give me. If you see my story uou see how mishap pen I am. One is like an English cup the other a b cup. So I buy the pullover Genie bras. The only thing that fits me.

I am right there with you. I get mine out in 3 weeks. You might want to ask the PS office if they can move you up if there is a cancellation. That is what they did to me. I was moved up 3 weeks earlier. The doctor thinks that mine have been ruptured for awhile. I can't wait until I can get back to regular exercising. And it will be much easier shopping for blouses! I have had mine in since 1992, back when large chests were all the rage. Hang in there and keep posting!

My PS office is closed for lunch but I am going to see if they get a cancel if they would call me. I still work part time and groom dogs so dread taking time off.

I was told by PS that he will put me in a bra and tightly wrap me. I am very misshapen and the encapsulated breast won't stay in the bra it is so hard. I feel like there is a big rock. The pain is so intense I am counting down the minutes. To the surgery date. This sight has really been a Godsend to me. Reading the posts has made me know with certainty that I am doing the right thing. I thought about it 8 years ago, wish I would have done it then.
