Tired Of Hurting

Tired of hurting
WORTH IT
Well my surgery was 3 weeks ago yesterday, I am healing well. I have scheduled to go back to work slowly next week. For me I really miss dog grooming. My brain fog is better and I am my neck and shoulder pain are gone. My joints are still stiff with inflammation and I hope it improves.I hurt where the incisions RE WHICH IS UNDER MY BREAST. But I remember other surgeries and it takes time.
The Dr. told me to let pain guide me, if I hurt I am doing to
much so I have been monitoring pretty closely.
I am so happy to have small little itty bitties. They are soft and squisy and I forgot what that was like. My clothes fit so much better and it makes me look thinner. Always a plus!
I want to thank you all for all of your words of encouragement.
This is a long journey and I am glad that I made it.
Hugs
Nancy

Hi Nancy,
I'm so glad that you are doing well. My incisions hurt as well, but they get better every day. I get some strange tinglings every once in a while but I think that's because of the healing taking place. The soft and squishy was a surprise to me as well but after forty some years we forget what is like to not have rocks on our chests. Keep updating as we all like to hear what you are going through.
Hugs back at ya,

Good Morning Snooty,
Yes my incisions really do hrt. I put a camisole on underneath it sure helps. I had some major shooting pains in my breast the other day. I think it is the nerves re attaching and healing as the feeling is coming back in my breasts. Yes I sure cant get over the soft and squishy. So different when sleeping at night. No rocks to sleep with.
Hugs

So glad you are doing well! Take it easy going back to work. I went back on Monday and I am still a little sore where the incisions are and I go back to the doctor again on Thursday. No matter what bra I wear it bothers me in the incision area but I think it's healing because they are getting itchy. Don't overdo it and like the doctor said let the paid and guide you. Dog grooming involves a lot of movement with your arms and your chest muscles.

Hi KC Yes my incisions bother me. I put a camisole underneath them and it seems to help. A tank top would be great too. If I hurt I will not chance it. Resting alot. When did you explant?

So good to know someone else's incisions hurt! Thanks for sharing. It makes so much difference in the recovery process to read all these remarks.

Hi Jeanis, Yes we wonder if what we are feeling is normal. My right breast that was baker 4 Capsular Contracture. I am still paranoid that it is going to get hard again, lol. I went back to work today and I am tired. 1 month today. I am a dog groomer my arm hurts a little. When did you have your surgery?
User Avatar
August 8, 2017
My surgery was July 31. Hoping to get drains out today. My left underarm area hurts more than the right. Wish my PS was more descriptive as far as the explant, he just said there was a lot of cleaning up to do. Idon't know if there was a capsular contracture or what...will see what he says today.
August 8, 2017
I asked mine for pictures. I hope he took the capsule out. If your breast was firm or hard you had contracture. My surgery was 3 hours.I am 4 weeks yesterday. Its nice to have soft breasts again. Ask him if he removed the capsule it is important. I am on Facebooks page Breast Implant Illness Healing by Nicole. Please please ask to be in the private group. No one sees your posts but the group. 21k ladies and you get educated. Lots of support. Good luck today with your drains.

Drains are out! Only saw the nurse today, but I doubt I had a contracture because nothing was hard. I know I had both capsules removed. I took a long shower when I got home and was able to put on a T-shirt. I don't have many front button or zip tops. Feeling so much better now. Will check out the FB page. I'm already on a Florida BII FB page, which is helpful too. P.S. I have 3 pugs & 5 cats. Was able to sit on the bed with some of them today.

Pets really help in healing. That first shower was over over the moon wonderful. You would have known if you had contracture. It ia so painful. Mine was the worst degree and like sleeping on a rock. My shoulder did not relax for 43 years. It was awful. It is a great feeling to get those darn drains out. LOL I just had to go back to the Dr. as I had a little issue with a stich inside. They opened with a scapel and are draining it, It hurts but not too bad. I go back in another week. Enjoy your day, You will love Nicoles page. Breast implant illness healing by Nicole.

Tired of Hurting

Tired of hurting
Who Hoo! I made it to the lighter side, 6 days ago Dr, Robert Green gave me a start to a new pain free life. I woke up and could take a deep breath. I have been very tired since last Monday. But very little pain or discomfort. The drains were in until Friday. It was a nice relief to get them removed. The left side has bothered me a little more than the right side. I never even felt any pain or discomfort in the right side. I think since the rupture was in the left side that more work and scraping had to be done. There was calcification and floating silicone on this side. Dr, Robert Green of Eureka, CA did a beautiful en bloc removal.
I am a dog groomer and am hoping that I be able to get back to work in i month.
My shoulder neck and back pain are gone. I lived in pain for 40 years, with the last 5 years being so severe my quality of life was not good. I had to cI will continue to update on this sightonstantly go for massages just to get thru the day. Sleeping had become almost impossible leaving me always tired and worn out.
It seems like I am feeling so much better than before the surgery and the healing has not really been completed.
I think this is the best decision I have ever made. The implants and my body did not get along.
More later, hang in there and do your home work. Make sure your Dr. removes the capsules, and sends to pathology.

July 16, 2017
So glad to hear from you. Glad you are on the other side and recovering. I had nodules on mine as well as capsulation. The first week until I got the drains out was not fun. Congrats on your successful surgery. It will only get better. WOO HOO!! You go girl!
July 17, 2017
Oh Snooty. There were a couple of gals on Nicoles page that said since I had nodules I should have been tested for a rare kind of cancer albcl or something like that/ do you know anything about that? I am really kind of confused. You made me feel better that you had nodules too. I think I am ok, So glad they are out
July 17, 2017
I have heard nothing about the cancer. I would think the mammogram and ultrasound would have shown something to that effect. So glad you are through the hardest part of the process. We are FREE!! Hugs...squishy hugs...not rock hugs. That is one of the best parts for me...I can really HUG my hubby, son, grandsons, and daughter in law. Best to you. Keep us posted.
July 17, 2017
I feel free for sure. It is truly a nice feeling. the rock hard is gone. Its like sometimes I wonder where it is, lol. GONE.
I hope my energy comes back. i am sleeping a lot. Guess thats ok because it keeps me down and not moving around.
I can hardly wait to give a real hug,
squishy hugs

Do you think I will be able to go back to work as a dog groomer after 1 month off? I sure hope so. I work alone and need so much to get back to work. I will take any advice that I can get, lol.

July 18, 2017
Hi Christine. Very little discomfort. No real pain. A little sensitivity around the incesions but not bad at all. I hope that I can work in 3 more weeks. I think that I can, I heal pretty fast.
How are you feeling? Are you healed now and able to lift?

Hi Nancy, my surgery was a little more involved, my reduction and removal of implants meaning nipples were moved, nearly a kilo of excess skin taken away, resulting in more scarring. My healing would be a little slower maybe, I still have some strange sensations in both breasts, But I would not Change my decision to explant. The best thing I have done. I am so pleased you are healing so well. I am sure your body will tell you when and how much you can do , as we are all different. Don't over do things , take new tasks steady, and day by day you will see the things you can manage and then you will go , Oh I think I will leave" that " job for a little longer. If the job is too big. Love and big hugs Christine:) x
July 19, 2017
Wow Christine your surgery was way more involved than mine. They did an en bloc removing the capsule in its entirety. I am swollen some today so I am going in to the Dr, today instead of Friday. I am worried that fluid it building up. I hope its ok.
