I've been top heavy my whole life. Recently the pain in my neck and shoulders is pretty unbearable. I had my consultation on 9/28. Waiting to hear from the insurance company for approval. I am currently wearing a 44H. I have lost some weight and my band size is now a 40 but I haven't been fitted since I'm not buying new bras until after my procedure. I was going to a different doctor but he was intent on doing a free nipple graft which I refuse to do at age 32. I've have no children.

Insurance still pending

I'm still waiting on my approval from the insurance company. The Drs office didn't send all the necessary info until 10/10/13. I'm getting a bit anxious. The Dr doesn't have many openings left. I was hoping to get the surgery done on 12/5 or 12/12. Funny the approval for the doctor I didn't want only took a week. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Insurance Approval

IBTCwannabe
Finally after being denied twice, once by the case manager and again by the clinical director, finally I have been approved. How in the world I was declined baffles me. The approval was given by the insurance company's plastic surgeon. She didn't talk to my surgeon, her approval was based on the pictures and doctor's notes. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get scheduled before the end of the year, I'm sure the insurance company will be happy to get another deductible out of me next year. I'm scheduled for my pre-op on 1/10/14 and he surgery is 1/16/14. I want to lose at least 20#s by then. My goal was to lose 40#s before surgery so I'm halfway there. I can't wait to buy bras in the store and not have the straps digging in my shoulders. I can't wait to see how much I'll be able to save on bras. I really would love to be a full C cup after healing. Honestly, I wouldn't mind being a B cup after being an H and J cup.
