Hi, my name is Galiena. I am a 42 year old single mother from Erie, PA whom lost over a 100 pounds 5 years ago & have maintained the weight loss. I was finally able to get my Insurance Company to approve receiving a Tummy Tuck. My surgery date is May 10, & I am looking for advice, suggestions, tips, anything you can offer. Thank You.

I'm a 42 year old single mother. I just had my tummy tuck 3 days ago and even tho I'm not able to take care of my kids right now I know they are happy for me. Good luck and I know you will love it!!

How are you feeling 3 days after surgery? Who is helping to take care of you? Ive had so many people tell me I will need help the first two weeks and shouldnt do it alone. I was also told that because of the swelling you will go through some ddpression at first and regret having the surgery done. How long did your surgery take? Thank you for replying. Good Luck with your recovery.

I'm 12 days post op now and I am so lucky that I have had my sister here with me day and night. Honesty for the first 5-6 I asked myself why did I do this to myself and I cried a few times lol. But as I was able to do more it made things so much easier. For the surgery time, they took me back at 10:45 and I was in the car on my way home by 5:30☺️

Glad to he a that you have help. As I have been hearing & reading that is key to your recovery. See everyone I have talked to has said they have gone through that. Thats the part Im not looking forward to. But at least I know its gonna happen. So approximately 6 hours. I have a list of questions to ask my surgeon and thats one of them. Thanks. And good luck in your recovery.

I am from Oil City so my too far away. I am currently going through the documentation stages to get the insurance to pay for my panniculectomy. Dr. Kang is who I am going through. He performed my breast reduction a little over a year ago and like yourself I have lost a significant amount of weight so the excess skin is irritating.

It myself. But I know I will feel 10 times better without that extra skin hanging there. Congrats on your weight loss. Good luck with getting the Insurance to cover it.

I'm not nervous for the surgery...not nervous for the recovery. ...I know it will suck....I'm just worried that when I wake up I will not get what I expect. ..like scar too high...not enough skin pulled..not tight enough..stuff like that....how about you?
