ORIGINAL POST

Erbium laser resurfacing (periocular area)

I’m 39 years old and the fine lines under my eyes had been bothering me the last year. I look tired and older than I really am. I went to see Dr. Karimi for restalyne injections but he suggested laser resurfacing. He said it would get rid of the fine lines and crepey skin so I went for it. The day of the procedure they gave me a “cocktail” to relax me and numbed my face with injections. The pain wasn’t bad at all, I expected much worse. After leaving the office I experienced some pain when the wind would hit my skin but it was fine once I got in the car. We drove an hour home, stopped to get the pain killers, I took one right away and was comfortable once I got home. The worst part was my eye lashes sticking to the balm. I didn’t experience much pain after the first day. I took the pain meds twice a day for 3 days just to keep myself comfortable. It was 10 days before I could wear makeup and go back to work. The makeup covered up the redness. I’m still swollen and red after 4 weeks but I see a huge improvement (mostly on one eye). For some reason the doctor didn’t cover as much area on the other eye and I can still see the lines and crepey skin below the part he lasered. I’m hoping these results stay or get better. I’ll post an update next month. I’m so impressed with the results that now I want to do my whole face to take care of my large pores.

Love the long eye lashes with the “beat up” eyes, LOL!
