<1/2 Inch off Waist After One Treatment (3 Segments), Painful
I'd been eyeing this treatment for a while because it sounded perfect. In just one treatment, you get nonsurgical spot fat reduction more effective than CoolSculpting, but without the risks of Paradoxical Adipose Hyperplasia. I'm considered a good candidate for it since my BMI is below 30. I'm healthy and physically active, but I've never had a snatched waist. I wasn't expecting miracles, but hoped to get a flatter abdomen and more waist definition.
I took advantage of a flash sale to get 4 segments for $1680 (over $2k is the norm). They recommended 3 segments (both flanks + lower abdomen) because I had minimal fat on my upper abdomen, so I did the 3 for myself and gifted 1 segment.
The nurse has 3 different sized rectangle segment templates. She chose a large size segment for my lower abdomen and medium for each flank. I said since it's the same price regardless of size, I wanted all large ones. She said that the medium was the appropriate size and not to worry because the amount of energy emitted would be the same so I wasn't being disadvantaged by not getting the large size for flanks.
The treatment starts at a low intensity and increases in intensity at set intervals. Eon laser is marketed as painless, but I found it uncomfortable from the start at the lowest intensity and very painful at the highest intensity. It's much more painful than laser hair removal or laser skin treatments... on par with electrolysis on sensitive areas. They cover the navel with a sticker and offer to cover other sensitive areas if needed and can pause the treatment and blow cold air on you. Obviously, people do find it painful seeing as they have these pain-reducing options. I refused extra stickers or any pauses in the treatment because I wanted to ensure I got the best possible results. During the treatment, the nurse admitted that some people find it painful and need multiple pauses to get through the treatment. I was talking and looking at my phone to distract myself from the pain, but I was sweating. I was glad when it was finally over (20 minutes/segment, so 60 minutes total).
After the treatment, my belly felt softer. I guess the fat really did melt. A few weeks later, I felt a bump on my lower abdomen. It went away after a few weeks.
My waist is around 26.5 inches in the morning before eating, and it seemed like I lost a few mm, but not even 0.5 inch. Fasted vs not makes a bigger difference in my abdominal appearance than before/after Eon. (Unfortunately, I didn't have fasted before photos. I had breakfast before the Before photos and also before the After photos.)
Nobody noticed my improved abdomen/waistline and many would not even notice when looking at my before/after side-by-side.
I don't think a barely perceptible few mm reduction was worth over $1k... It might be worth it for someone with a lot of disposable income.
