Removal of Three Medium to Large Tattoos
WORTH IT$3,000
I hate my tattoos. I got them all when I was 18-23 and now being in my late 30s have grown to despise them o we the years. I always cover them up and just really hate them. They aren’t me. Tattoos are fine on other people but I am not the young child who got them anymore and it’s not my style or who I am. I always said I was waiting for the tattoo removal technology to improve before getting them removed but then decided to wait no longer and go with cutera enlighten. I paid $3000 for 6 treatments of all my tattoos. We ended up treating the day of the consultation.
Tattoo removal is PAINFUL. Maybe cause mine are large it’s worse but holy moly it’s absolutely awful. I go an hour ahead of time for numbing cream, we do cold packs and cold air and it is still terrible. My doctor recently started using nitrous oxide for some of his patients and since mine are so large and the pain is worse than childbirth, I opted for that. It helps but barely. I can deal with my left shoulder and upper right arm tattoo but the lower back “tramp stamp” tattoonis so painful. He said that is the worst spot to remove.
I’ve had four treatments to date. The all black tattoos will need 6-8 and the colored one will need 10-12.
I’ve had significant fading after just three treatments. I’m hopeful we can get rid of it all with enough treatments.

Day after second treatment
Here are pics from the day after my second treatment. Each treatment gets more painful. No blisters first or second treatment. Had a lot of itching for round two. Saw some fading for sure. Used hydrocortisone cream but didn’t help much.

Blistering post third treatment
This is one day post third treatment. Not a lot of itching this time but I did get some blisters on my lower back tattoo and upper right arm tattoo. I saw a lot of fading with this treatment although it’s a little hard to see right after a treatment.

Thank you for sharing! I am also using Cutera Enlighten to remove a portion of a new tattoo on my forearm (got an infinity symbol tattoo with a few hawks surrounding it in November, in memory of a family member who passed away. I realized soon after I can’t stand the placement and size of 2 of the hawks unfortunately). Starting gradual with removing one of the hawks to see how that goes . I’ve had one treatment so far 11 weeks ago and my next one is Monday 4/8. So far a little bit of fading but can’t really tell unless you look closely that there’s any change. How long are you waiting between treatments ?

8 weeks for the first session, then 10 weeks in between for all the other treatments.

I’m waiting 10 weeks between treatments (8 the first time). I think it’s a good amount of time. My tattoo sites seem fully healed by the next go around.
