There is no question that the decision to move...

There is no question that the decision to move forward with any type of cosmetic procedure is one that requires a lot of careful (and logical) thinking; especially when a revision is being considered. I had my original rhinoplasty performed about two years ago by a local surgeon here in Colorado Springs. The outcome warranted another procedure; which was done by the same surgeon the following year. Unfortunately, the result was not very encouraging. My nose developed a “C-Shaped” deformity and after those two procedures, the experience left me with a lot of regret.

The thought of going through this whole process with another surgeon was discouraging; I wasn't sure if the risks outweighed the reward and I was aware of the diminishing returns that come with multiple procedures on a given area. But after about six months, I reluctantly started doing a bit of research on surgeons that specialize in revisions and spent several weeks reading through everything from their credentials/experience to their patient reviews. Fortunately for me, one of the best surgeons in the country happened to be less than an hour away.

I had visited with a few other surgeons in the Denver area before I met with Dr. Imola . At this point, the opinions I received from the other surgeons were surprisingly one-dimensional given the complexity of the procedure. Dr. Imola was the exact opposite; he addressed my concerns and expectations in a way that drew focus on a collective, yet tangible goal. Furthermore, Dr. Imola went into great detail about the procedure itself as well as the risks; two very important things that are often overlooked by a patient. The apprehension that I had before was now non-existent and I couldn't have had more confidence in someone than I did for Dr. Imola.

I’m about 6 months post op and couldn't be happier with the results. It still amazes me what Dr. Imola was able to accomplish; my first surgeon didn't leave him much to work with yet the results have exceeded my expectations. The surgery itself went well and I am extremely thankful that Dr. Imola performed a closed versus an open rhinoplasty. It may have made the procedure more difficult for him but he did what was best for me and took his time in making sure everything was done to his standards (which you will quickly learn are very high). In any type cosmetic surgery, there is a fine line between mediocre results and amazing results and Dr. Imola isn't considered one of the best surgeons in the country because of second-rate work .Whether you are considering a procedure for the first time or seeking a revision, visiting with Dr. Imola might be the best decision you make. It was for me.
