I got an upper bleph on May 24th with Dr. Gil Altman to remove excess skin and improve symmetry of the eyelids. Dr. Altman is generous, caring, and extremely talented. As a reconstructive surgeon for trauma patients in the ER and Director of Altman Aesthetic Center of which I've been a patron of since 2011, I felt confident in his ability and breadth of knowledge.

It is the second day out, May 26th, and I can see with 90% clarity. I taped over the A/C vents where I spend the most time and wear saran wrap over my eyelids at times to prevent further dryness and irritation. I am also refresh liquigel and have a humidifier nearby. The day after surgery (yesterday) was the most difficult. I had dryness and irritation because of the swelling of my left eyelid. The tape and swelling prevent the eyes from fully closing when blinking. Yesterday the dressing was pushing on my eyelid, I thought that possibly a suture was loose because that's what I read when looking on here. That freaked me out. I took a closer look in my magnified mirror, and it turns out it was the slight swelling of the eyelid that caused the tape to mimic the sensation of an object within the eye. I iced my lids and it was immediately 85% better. Today it is 90% better and slowly improving as the day goes on.

I can already tell that my eyes look much more even and there is no excess skin. I'm so excited. I have to wait 8 days to get the dressing off! I'll continue to update.

Dr. Altman is a true gem. He is trustworthy, honest, caring, and extremely talented in providing a natural aesthetic. I've been a patient of his since 2011, and he is the only one I would trust with something as delicate as my eyes.
