Belly button revision and 6 month post tt photos

Finally got around to it. Belly button is doing ok (touch wood ;) ) Main scar is so so, some days it looks better than others. PS doesn't seem thrilled by how it has widened but I know that my body takes a while to recover from scarring so I am hanging in there.
Still numb in triangular section from bb to main tt incision, still get slight swelling in that area too, but nothing major. Life is back to normal lol, with the one exception, for some reason I have not returned to sleeping on my stomach. I don't know why (had always slept this way) am quite ok laying on stomach just can't sleep that way any more(?)

2nd time lucky (?)

Stitches removed today after belly button revision.General shape is how it was first-time around although it looks quite red, I guess a mixture of old scarring and new. Now the waiting begins (again) to see if it is going to be well behaved and heal nicely or whether it's going to go into overdrive and close up again.
Will post photos as soon as able.

bb revision carried out

Went in this afternoon for my revision. Felt quite strange as the routine was the same as before despite only having a local anaesthetic. Given a room, theatre gown, dressing gown, slippers and those awful string pants again. Blood pressure, temperature taken, asked about allergies, next of kin info etc. Mr Platt came in and took before photos again and briefly discussed procedure and I signed consent form.

I walked down to theatre, where I was asked to get onto a trolley and was wheeled into the operating room, the bb area cleansed and draped with theatre sheets, initially part of the sheeting was raised to obscure my view but surgeon felt that was too claustrophobic for me so it was lowered.

He injected local anaesthetic and proceeded with the revision. Felt a bit tugging and was aware of him stitching but equallly didn't feel it. Was chatting away with the theatre staff throughout. Afterwards I was taken back to my room onthe trolley and given a drink alight lunch, obs were done and then I was allowed to leave.
When I do a dressing change I will take a photo but I assume it will look much the same as they all look immediately post op for a tt. Stitches will be removed in 2 weeks. There is no guarantee that it will not close up again, but they are going to keep a watchful eye on it.
Ps also mentioned that my tt scar wasn't as good as he expected, I guess that will be a 'wait and see' job.He thinks it is too wide and lumpy.
