30H Awaiting Date for Breast Reduction!!!
UPDATED FROM Scratch72
1 Year On
WORTH IT$9,095
I can’t believe it’s now a year since my breast reduction. Like many women on here, I can honestly say it’s the best decision I’ve ever made, it has changed my life for the better. True to British weather, the heat has suddenly struck lol. I can wear clothes that would never have been possible before surgery, no longer have sores or heat rashes underneath and it’s done wonders for my confidence. Buying bras/ tops is now pleasurable!
The scaring is minimal and to be honest, I’d rather have scaring any day over the huge weight I had hanging there before.
My consultant was very happy with his handy work and I could highly recommend him.
Obviously, it’s a big operation and can have complications, however, with the right care and attitude, I believe that for the majority, it’s probably the best thing you’ll ever do.

Two month pic update!!
You can see from these photos that I still have a little bruising on my left breast, apparently it’s nothing to worry about and it is fading. Small area just below the nipple where there was a small scab but that had now cleared and it’s just a bit dry. Starting to feel a lot softer now and they’re changing shape. The scars underneath are barely visible as they’re under the natural fold of the breasts.

Great result! Do you know what size you are yet?
Not 100% sure as I haven’t professionally measured. I did try a few on the other day as needed one to go under a particular top. It fits beautifully and it’s a 34C!
It's weird, isn't it? I was a 30 back before and now prefer a 32, don't need such a tight band now we don't need so much support. I was a H like you.
Yes, they say the smaller the cup, the bigger the back?? Like you said, you don’t feel you need quite so much support and can afford something with a little more room lol!!
They look so good!
Aw, thank you
What have u been putting on your scars ?:)
My nurse said the best thing at the moment is Sudocrem lol so that’s what I’ve been using. Once things have settled down, I’ve got a mixture of natural oils to apply
Wow they look amazing. I am in the uk and researching I am a H cup would like to be a C
Aw, thank you x
I am one week post op and i am in tears. Did yours went to the smaller side after swelling!? I am afraid that will happen and then i will end up with an A cup. You look awesome.
The swelling still varies from day to day at the moment. Some days I look bigger than others but that is normal. I doubt that you’d be any smaller than a C cup to be honest as it’s very difficult for a surgeon to get you that small. Don’t worry at all, one week post op is extremely early days. Just be careful you don’t overdo things when you start to feel better( usually weeks 2-3) I did and I paid the price. Relax, take things slowly and be kind to yourself. It’s also quite an emotional time so make sure you’re talking to people, get support and have things to look forward to.
All the very best x

Two month post op.
I can’t believe it’s two months since I had my BR. I’m feeling really well now but my healing hasn’t been without complications. I had wound breakdown on both breasts at the t junction unfortunately. The nurses at my local doctors have been amazing and looked after me really well. I’ve been going down every other day to get my dressings changed which has meant they’ve been able to keep a close eye on things. I had a months worth of antibiotics as there was a slight infection, they wanted to be certain it was totally clear.
My dressings have now been removed and my scars are looking good. I’m now moisturising with cocoa butter and the girls are feeling softer and starting to drop slightly. They do appear to change shape and size daily. I still have days where they’re tender and swollen but I suppose it depends on how busy I’ve been during the day. It’s also been extremely warm for the time of year so maybe the heat has something to do with it?
I’m still wearing my post op compression bras, day and night, as I actually like them and they feel supportive. I’m off to Manchester this week while I’m on half term hol, to get measured professionally for a bra. They don’t measure the conventional way so I won’t really know what cup size I am? I don’t know if I really want to know lol as many women on here appear to be much larger than they hoped. The photos look amazing and don’t look anything like the sizes they’ve been measured at?? I suppose it’s how you feel really, but if you were told you’d be around a c/d cup, to find out you’re an f/ff and above, you’d be pretty p—-ed off!!
Actively, I’m pretty much back to normal. The only thing I really can’t do at the moment is cut the lawn (poor mum!) Having the wound complications has put my healing back somewhat but each day I see an improvement.
To all you a amazing ladies who have had/ having a reduction, be gentle with yourself, take things easy and remember, we all heal very differently. Don’t overdo things when you start to feel a little better (week 2-3) You’ll regret it!!

Love to hear more about your bra lady!!! Let me know how you get on?

I will. She’s going to measure me and talk about different fabrics etc while there. They’re not cheap but it will be worth it in the long run. I was used to paying a lot pre op anyway lol as you will know yourself. X
I’m so glad they watched your breakdowns early and kept ahead of the curve. Thank you for the good advice and I will be waiting to hear what size you measure out.
Hi Scratch72, It is great to hear your healing is coming along. I agree and also went back to my compression bra. It is more comfortable and offers great support to my smaller breast and side boob smoothing (yes, I made that term up.)
May I ask -- as I am always interested what did your PS / nurse use you treat your wound breakdown and infection (both antibiotic and topical cream)? You look great.

Lol, that made me giggle!
I’ve been using Inadine patches which have worked wonders, dried everything out and broke down the slough. I was on a course of antibiotics too as it was difficult to tell if there was an infection or if it was just red and sore? I need to post some new photos really as there’s quite a difference now. Regardless of the complications, it’s the best decision I ever made. Even the nurse commented yesterday on what a good job he’d done!
How are you feeling??
