EndyMed was EXCRUCIATING

I have had this treatment done (well, I terminated it after about 2 minutes) but put "Planning" as I do not want to identify the clinic, as it is the procedure that I am discussing. The clinic is reputable, very good, and gave me this treatment free of charge and did nothing wrong, and so I do not want to write something that could sound like a negative review.
Anyway, to get to the point, this treatment is absolutely EXCRUCIATING beyond your wildest dreams. This pain is 10x worse than kidney stones, it honestly feels like being burned alive. Have you ever suffered a burn where you touch something extremely hot and it comes up as a white lump? Now imagine that mega hot object was pushed against your skin for 3 minutes straight instead of you immediately recoiling from it (or dropping it) on reflex.
That is exactly how it feels, like a white hot coal rubbed and pushed hard onto your skin for 3 minutes. I imagine it feels similar to the brass bull used to exucute people many centuries ago, except concentrated in one area.
It's actually interesting to feel a pain so intense, it's eye opening to know that it's possible for humans to feel so much agony. I've had lots of "painful" treatments done, this is on another level... It's so painful it's amazing that it's being done to you by medical professionals and not some Medieval torturer.
NOW important to mention is that I have stubble, so the gel which is applied may not have properly gone onto my skin? It's hard to say... And also important to note is that I requested it be done in one very isolated area, so the "heat" was applied to a smaller than usual area and held there. Oh and it was applied to the face of course, just under the chin around the neck area.
But in any case, once it heats up this is probably the worst pain a human can experience, but targeted to just one part of your body. And it gets worse and worse and worse until you're writhing around, and all you can hear is the "BEEP" "BEEP" and can't even really see anything because the tunnel vision is so intense. Remember, this is only 3 minutes, and I had to cut it short, it was not even possible to withstand another 5 seconds of whatever the hell that was let alone a full minute. Then they tell you that you need 6 more sessions and it lasts only a year.
Frankly, it would be absolutely stupid to endure 6 sessions of having a white hot coal pushed onto your neck just to look a TINY bit better for a year. I mean seriously? If you're old enough get a facelift, or get CoolSculpting if it's fat, or fillers, get ANYTHING other than this. Obviously if they use local anaesthetic it'll be a breeze but I don't think they do.

Interesting comments. I have been providing these treatments to patients for over 5 years. They would describe as their favourite thing I do to them as it doesn't hurt. Most would say it feels like a warm facial. I get wonderful tightening results. Maybe the technician was not applying enough pressure and moving it quick enough or not enough ultrasound gel was used. Also, with men a fresh shave is necessary so the heat gets down rather than potentially "arcing" the rf energy.

I just had this done yesterday and the technician did not apply any gel. She cleaned my face with alcohol. It was excruciating as well, though she said she'd give me numbing cream to apply before the next session. It hurt, I could hear the sizzle of my skin, and feel the "holes" being made. If this is not normal treatment, please tell me.

I've been working with ENDYMED systems for 7 years, and I can say that this is absolutely not a normal treatment procedure! For regular ENDYMED tightening treatments, there should be a plentiful amount of gel on the skin, and the treatment is painless. It should feel like a warm massage. For microneedle treatments, the skin must be treated with a topical numbing agent such as Emla for 40 minutes prior to treatment. It shouldn't hurt at all, and you shouldn't hear your skin sizzling!

Huh? I've had 6 treatments and it was very pleasant. If it's too hot they need to turn it down. And add more gel. Thus procedure doesn't hurt at all if done correctly

It was either the technique, lack of gel or the settings were incorrect. There is no way that this treatment should be excruciating.

I've been providing this treatment for the past 10 months and it's definitely NOT an unpleasant procedure. Some of my clients fall asleep during their treatment. The intensity should be adjusted based on the patients tolerance to the heat emanated through the metal elements constantly in contact with the skin. This treatment CAN NOT be performed without the use of cooling gel.

I believe some of you commenting here are confusing treatment options. The author of this review is clearly referring to the Intensif RF Microneedling procedure and/or handpiece... not the RF Tightening/Contouring procedures that do not utilize microneedles, but do however utilize the gel you continue to mention. The Endymed 3DEEP RF device has 3 specifically designed hand pieces it uses for different treatments... Microneedles being the 'Intensif' option. A lot of people on here don't seem to differentiate between when someone mentions Endymed 3DEEP T/C and/or Endymed's Intensif RF Microneedling treatments.
