I am 3 1/2 years after and still have pain and itching from the posts. It did so little for me and caused hair loss scars chronic itching and pain. Those posts are nasty and the are screwed into your scull. They don't tell you that.

Thank you so much for your update! I'm going to pass on the endotines. Too many people have too many problems. Can the posts be removed or are you stuck with those nasty things forever?

I would not advise anyone to have a brow lift. I have been in misery since then. The plastic surgeon that did the procedure doesnt admit that the intense itching of forhead has anything to do with the lift.
i have presented this problem 30 months ago and other surgeions said the endotine post could cause this response. I may have to have them removed but really afraid of the risk. I am miserable each and every day of my life now. this has been going on for over 6 years now,

Had the ENDOTINE procedure Jan 2010 at age 63.My head was numb from my hairline half way across my head and scalp for first year and half. Looked good for first year.Slowly sagging I'm gettin the tired look again. Left side of forehead still numb. Wouldn't use ENDOTINE implants again.Had itching as well.Itching lasted about 8 months.

I went back to the oculoplastic surgeon who recommended a brow lift with the endotines. After reading RealSelf I asked questions like: "Do you release the muscle between the brows?" and "Do you undermine the forehead?" How do you treat asymmetry if one device fails?" It's thanks sot all of the people posting here that I got the scoop on this doctor's technique which is pretty typical. He works on older people who have medicare coverage that pays for a brow lift when a bleph (lid) is done for obscuring peripheral vision. He doesn't do any muscle work or undermining. From what I read that's guaranteed failure in 6-12 months. He'll take out the endotines if they don't dissolve over time; but, not for free! Scary stuff. Maybe this is common practice and explains the high failure rate.

I wish that I would have read this comment before my surgery. This comment reflects my negative experience too. Consider a direct lift not these fixation devices
Did you go with the endotine fixation post for a brow lift? Have you heard of any informaTION ON THESE. I AM STILL MISERALBE
