Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty - hoping to get it late September

Hi. I am a 54 y/o woman, 5’3”, 182 lbs. pursuing ESG as a way to help me break a lifetime of up /down and emotional eating habits (I was put on my first diet at 8 y/o).
As I get older I find shedding the pounds much more difficult and the ramifications of carrying so much extra weigh concerning - I have HBP, high cholesterol and growing joint pain.
I have tried numerous alternatives (numerous diets, diet pills, lipo and so on…) with exercise and tried not to define my value by my ever fluctuating waist line. I just want to feel better - have greater mobility with less hip and knee pain when doing daily tasks. I’d also like to quit buying clothes to hide myself - covering up in all black is not the best summer look unless you’re into the goth thing…
From what I am learning online, ESG is an opportunity to retrain my body and brain. I want to break through and hopefully build a sustained weight loss reality and healthy living plan going forward.
A bit surprised by the lack of ESG stories here on RS. I figure it’s my turn to share. I have benefitted from the generous sharing on this site for other procedures and am happy to contribute now in the hopes it is of use for others who relate to the struggle.
I was approved for the procedure as of today and am hoping to get it scheduled for late September. I will keep you posted. In the meantime here are some pics reflecting my current reality - taken today 09/01/2022.
